Helpful place and close to train, bus, and ferries.
Many thanks to the lovely lady who arranged a taxi for us on March 18th when the Blue bridge ferry shuttle left before people from the train had been able to collect their luggage.
Lot of information available at Picton i-site. Even if the Visitors center is closed, there is lot of information on its outside wall. The visitors centre is just beside indoor golf establishment. There is lot of parking available. Parking near the visitors centre is for 60 minutes. A bit further in, the parking is for maximum of 4 hours. Be care not to park in the space allocated for central cars.
I dealt with a lovely young lady named Sherarn who was helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area. Very friendly and great service, she recommended us the essons valley walk which she had previously done, which was a nice easy walk for the limited time we had in town.
Myself and my covering compartment which was crash Bandicoot we loved it I always like going to Picton cos it feels like home now
