What a well organized and reliable day trip to walk the Queen Charlotte Track between Fernaux Lodge and Punga Cove. The check-in process was smooth along with drop-off and pick-up. Ollie was amazing on the ride to Fernaux Lodge. He shared info about the Sound and his work experiences at a local winery. What a grea experience. I docked a star for the trouble I had trying to use their website to buy a ticket and the lack of info. Thank goodness fir the Blenheim isite who helped me sort out the ticket and trip details.
Fantastic service. We were headed to Resolution Bay for work and had missed our boat the week prior, they didn't hesitate to rebook us again the following week. Office staff were welcoming and friendly, punctual service out to Reso Bay. Lindsay was an excellent skipper, accomodating and providing chats and knowledge as we stopped into different bays along the way. He even offered to back track after the rest of his drop offs to collect us earlier than planned if need be. Met some friendly tourists and other locals whilst ferrying in and out of Picton. We at Betta Inspect It Nelson/Tasman highly recommend this service and would definitely use again if needed!
Wonderful service. Our suitcases were delivered from hotel to hotel without any effort on our part whilst we concentrated on our hikes! The drivers were informative and provided some great wildlife tip bits along the journey. Highly recommended
Used the water taxi to get to a bach at The Pines - Endeavour Inlet. They were excellent at every point - telling me what to expect before I booked, and giving me hints like ordering groceries at fresh choice to be delivered to the taxi. We had 4 people and had 5 bags one extra with Christmas presents, and a chilly bin, 8 boxes of groceries, a guitar and fishing rods! They charged an extra baggage fee of only $35 which I thought was very reasonable. I had checked a week before that it was still ok to have extra boxes, and we could have taken some items back to the car if it was too much, but thankfully it was all no problem. Fresh choice only pack 10kg per box but you can estimate the weights of everything fairly easily and they pack them extremely efficiently and securely. On the way back we used 3 of the boxes inside a few of the other ones to get all the recycling back - no extra charge.nnThey had so many people with lots of requests and needs - like us with lots of luggage and other things like lots of dogs on board and babies and some people who were pretty demanding refusing to carry their own bag when turning up late etc. They managed everything really well. Staff in the building were super friendly and helpful even though it was very busy.nnThe trips were amazing - beautiful scenery, friendly staff, big boats that handled some bumpy water on the return leg. We just loved it all and highly recommend using cougar for a great holiday. Some of our luggage got splashed with the wilder weather on the return journey so do make sure everything precious is in plastic bag liners if your luggage isn’t completely waterproof.
Staff were friendly and helpful.nEven though the day was wet, the cruise from Picton to Ship Cove was beautiful.nThe Queen Charlotte hike was spectacular.nWe loved having our luggage water ferried each day to the next nights accommodation.
