Award winning Dutch/ Kiwi style bakery in Picton. We have freshly baked sourdough Breads, Kiwi style pies, wholesome sandwiches and freshly baked muffins

Story

Our original Bakery was opened in Picton in September 2001.
In the past we had regular stall at our local Farmer's Market, but now offer a range of those products in our store in Picton.
We are well known across the globe for or fantastic range of mouth watering products and European Style breads, with customers coming from all over the world to visit our Famous Bakery.

Stopped here for a quick lunch during our visit to Picton. It was a bit busy here, like the rest of Picton, due to numerous cruise ship passengers being in town. We got three pies and two cans of drink for 26 New Zealand dollars. The staff were friendly, the pies tasted nice.
A delicious experience! We had a bacon & egg pie, and a mince & cheese pie for breakfast - both with a good amount of filling and perfectly flaky/chewy pastry. We also had yesterday's sandwiches to take on a walk for lunch- the bread was still soft and there was a generous amount of ingredients. So good, highly recommend for anyone passing through Picton!
It’s a tradition to stop by here every time we are in Picton. It’s more of a no fuss, walk in and order on the spot place, we usually order take away and not dine-in but devour the goodies standing outside : If you want a dine in cafe, I recommend the cafe next to the Freshchoice supermarket. Service is friendly here, fast and efficient and the food is well known by locals and visitors flock here too especially when there’s fleets of cruise ships stopping by or a ferry cancellation debacle that happened recently- the shelves are pretty much cleaned out. Everything here is delicious from the pies to the pastries- I’ve tried the steak pie, double happiness, doughnut and custard bun and all are excellent! Their specialty is n Dutch goods :
Great pastries! Really liked the oliebol, just like my mom makes them with raisins, just missing the powdered sugar. The crumble is also great, good crust.
Don’t waste your money on the pies there.nIt’s over baked. Very little meat in the fillings… I can count the number of pieces… and filled with lots of gravy. Taste of fillings also not fantastic.
