I had a bad experience here. I purchased 6 cartons of premium cat food that came to over $200. I saw a multi buy offer on the shelf that said two of them Advance were $24 each. I rang the store to ask how the price was so high. They said the offer had not applied to my order but gave me no option for an online refund of the money they admit they over charged, would not send me a voucher for it, or any other convenient method of making up for their error. For the other four items the prices were ridiculously high $35/carton versus the $28/carton I pay elsewhere, and did not reflect the on-shelf pricing. I was told this was because the shelf pricing is for people who come back each month. I think this is a deceptive business practice. I won’t be using this pet store chain again. Buyer beware.
I went to this pet barn and got my dog groomed. When I came, they cut his nails but while cutting them, why he was whining. I had no idea why. I found out they were forcefully holding his legs like they were literally gonna rip them off. And they called my dog disgusting. I felt very angry. Every time I go here, I always find cuts and a bits of blood on my dog. Please fix your staff.
Not sure if other Petbarn customers are aware of this but they don’t charge you the same price in store as they advertise on their website. Something you may see a product on sale and then be charged at full price because you don’t ask them to price match “themselves “!!!! Absolutely criminal to just say “that’s our online prices”.
After having a grooming appointment booked for 6 weeks then being told that they need to cancel, no alternative appointment was given to me for the next 3 months. My poor, long haired dog will be dead from heat exhaustion well before then. Not good enough!
Very friendly, helpful staff. Even carried my large bag of dog food out to my car and put it in my boot. Always lovely people at this Petbarn; thank you!
The store is well set out with a good range of products. I always find the service at this store to be exceptional. It's my go-to store for supplies for my 3 dogs and kitten cat.
A word of caution to shoppers — check the expiry dates on produce provided by Petbarn. I was sold expired kibble that was maggot infested and months out of date. I only realized once the maggots tried to escape out of the bag. I was provided the choice of a refund or a replacement bag, however I am still left feeling disappointed. I now have a sick puppy to look after because of negligence.
Searching for an all round medication while aligning my two dogs heartworm injections. Needed something to cover fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites, heart worm. There were so many items to choose from, I didn't know which would be best. The consultant asked questions around the dogs ages, weights, walking patterns, exposure to rural areas, lifestyle and made a recommendation that also covered mites and lice bonus and one less thing to worry about. Their knowledge was second to none, friendly and approachable, I'll be returning.
Petbarn has a great variety of pet products that other stores don't have. That's important if you have pets with specific dietary needs or other health issues. Petbarn provides loyalty points that translate into dollar savings and there are discounts as well. They even have a vet practice attached to the megastore.The warehouse layout is a good idea and there's on site parking...very convenient. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Thank you.
They price match which is great. Need more staff, waiting longer than needed to be served at checkout and on a few occasions now they have been out of stock on a few dog foods.
