My 2012 Scott chainstay broke. I went to Avanti to order another and see how Scott would respond given it is a fairly common problem. Although happy to buy a new one. I have phoned them twice and popped in twice. I have never received a call from them. Everyone I call or go there I get the same response, have not contacted me since they have no news.... They are waiting for whatever. So my experience has been pathetic and I will refuse to use them or Scott ever again.....I have managed to sort out my own spare part through the UK. Very disappointing since many other seem to have great experiences.

Hi Peter and Howard, Just finished the basic maintenance course tonight. Just wanted to say thank you for putting it on. There were a number of folks who stayed back, when I was leaving, but I wanted to say thank you. Those who have just taken up the bicycle riding, do not know the very basics, like how does a chain grow?. The lesson outline covered all the important points, allowing for questions and never once made anyone feel like a goose. And you had more than one type of bike displayed in the lesson. The cassette "set and flip", will make it so much easier to attend to tubes and chain by the road side. But if I act on the advice from tonight I may not have another road side issue. And the $20 dollar note trick was just magic, although I agree with Peter, I would rather have a coffee. Opening up product packaging, so the class could look at the examples in their hands, like the markings on the break pads so you know which way to install them, took away a lot of confusion. It was a really nice touch - to offer all the participants a discount on all the products talked about in the presentation. Plus extending the discount to products that came into the discussions because of the participant's questions, like multi tool kits, and cleaning packs. Finally, there were some experienced riders in the class, and when they volunteered some of their experiences, particularly the one on how some road markers can cause punctures, I never would have guessed. That, combined with your quick fix tips in order to just get home or just carry your Go-card, made it an evening well spent towards a better riding experience. Thank you. Bye for the now. My wife and I have bought several bikes over the years through AvantiPlus North Brisbane, our latest being a 2015 Scott Addict team issue and a 2014 Scott Solace 10. We have always received good service from Howard and the team. We put both our Scott’s in for major services in store. After one year, over 10,000km and the good servicing my bike feels as good if not better than when I first bought it. We are also regulars at the coffee shop, attached to the store, as we stop there after most of our rides. Again the service is always friendly and the drinks and food are great. I can’t see a reason not to go back.
