Great holiday place, close to the beach, great fishing, safe swimming for the young ones.
Great views. Pristine water. Saw some people catching fish but didn't see actual catch. It's a few minutes away from Pleasant Valley Blueberries
Great holiday at Orua Bay. New Managers are really wonderful folks. Lovely clean facilities and good size sites. The camp has a great atmosphere with many campers saying the have been visiting the camp regularly for years. Can't wait until our next visit. Awesome family friendly camp.
Visited friends and the area and facilities are stunning, a short stroll gets you down to a beautiful beach with lovely beachfront properties. The locals are very friendly and its a beautiful area for walking a dog, water sports, swimming and just sitting on the beach and relaxing. The beach is by far the best in the area and the sand is truly stunning if you want to build sand castles
We had the best family holiday break staying in the motel units at Orua bay, despite the weather. The lovely hosts made us so welcome and catered to our every need. The extended family especially enjoyed family games of cricket on the lawn when the weather cleared, the setting was amazing and well worth the drive out. Thankyou so much for making this a wonderful family weekend away.
Didn't go to the motor camp... just the beach. Lovely soft sand. Nice calm bay. Water was pretty warm. Some shady spots. Toilets are a long way away though. Not too busy. Pretty clean too. No sludgey stuff to walk through and not mucky in the water. Really enjoyed it.
Lovely location however we stayed in a cabin and felt it wasnt value for money and was very tired and worn looking. The mattress on the bed was so uncomfortable my partner and I ended up sleeping in the unmade bunk beds. The shower was appalling it just dribbled out. The couch and chairs were at least 40 years old and also uncomfortable. There was no heating or fan in the room and not even a small bottle of milk in the fridge and nothing offered either. The manager is lovely but I think the owner needs to understand that location isn't enough. When you pay $150 a night for a cabin you expect it to at least have good quality bedding as a minimum along with decent amenities. ..at the very least.
Great kid friendly beach if you walk up the beach going right from the caravan park there is some great cliff carvings
Tranquility, quite. Clean rooms. Awesome new hosts Dave and Traci. Well looked after. Fantastic experience and the view from the door step onto the beach magnificent. Definitely going back.
Definitely not a family camp! No games or sports of any kind allowed in camp, managers rude! They should advertise as such as families do not waste their money and children don't spend their holiday being told off.
