I went to Officeworks Aspley today Sunday 13/11/22 and was served by Ali at the printing desk, not only did she get my task done which was a very tedious and long one, she got it done with excellent customer service!! The fact that she was the only one attending the printing desk while serving every other customer but still managed to get my job done was very appreciated and impressive too. I always enjoy going to that store regardless but today Ali was truly appreciated! I will always recommend Officeworks Aspley to everyone! P.s Ali needs a raise.
There isn't enough parking. That I can live with, but the parking attendant is a liability. He has no clue what he's doing and will more likely be the cause of an accident before he prevents one. My apologies to Officeworks if the bald, red man in the high-vis was not hired to direct parking lot traffic, but that is what he decided to do today. On the off chance that he reads this, I suggest you consider a new career path.
Went there to purchase 2 things for my wife. One was a specific device. The other one was to print and laminate a menu template to use as a whiteboard for weekly meal planning. 1 The device. I have gotten the wrong thing in the past so I decided to ask the staff, as I thought they'd know better than me. Wrong. Had to go back the next day to exchange it, only to find out that they were out of stock and, since I had paid with Flybuys, they gave me an Officeworks specific gift card as return which cannot be redeemed online or used to purchase other eftpos or Visa cards which could be used online. Fine. I'll go back whenever the item is back in stock and use the card. An inconvenience I can live with. 2 The laminate. Again I thought the staff would know better. Boy was I wrong. They laminated my print in a matte finish, which is porous. The guy said it was the best for dry erase pens. We tested it when we got home. Wrong. The dry erase didn't come off at all. Went back the next day to try again. A different staff member told me that what I wanted to use a laminated paper as a whiteboard was not possible, and that the only way was to use a spray and cloth. He erased the dry erase test on the matt laminate that way, leaving a shiny finish behind go figure. I got the classic shiny laminate anyway, tested it at home, worked 100% as a whiteboard. These people don't know what they're talking about and will sell you the wrong thing. 3/3 staff I spoke to got it 100% wrong. Do your own google search before talking to anybody there and do not ask for advice. You have been warned. 2 stars because the lady that sold me the wrong device was lovely. She even thought the product I wanted had a discount, which, shouldn't she know if she works there?
This store in particular is a standout and i frequently visit this store over my local. This store is smaller format and the service is great. Officeworks is usually the cheapest but if not they have a price beat guarantee and they have the best returns policy in the electronics / stationary retail space. Thanks for the good service Rod.
The staff here are always friendly and happy to help. They always go the extra mile when it comes to passport photos. We had so much trouble trying to take a photo of out baby yet the staff here were able to do this with no problems. They know the local area and are happy to advice on the best place to go to if they are unable to assist. Love the honesty and will happily return to this location
A lot of younger staff members who don't seem to care at all. Honestly, if you don't want to work there find another job.
16/10/18 I popped in this morning looking for 1000GSM card but they didn’t have any. I did pick up some bargains from the bargain table so all was not lost. No one was on the floor to help. I approach a male staff member who help me and then he couldn’t get away fast enough. Heather the staff member at the POS point of sale was very friendly. You are the reason I scored 4 stars.
Went in today to do something as simple as printing at the self serve machines. 10 pages in the machine stopped printing but no error. Attempted to seek assistance but ended up waiting 10-15mins in a relatively quiet store to get any assistance. Ended up getting a refund and leaving as no technical solution was offered.
The passport photos they take here are not compliant and will get rejected when you go to hand them in to the post office. The other person in line with me at the post office said she got hers done here as well and they were both not acceptable. They shouldn’t advertise a product if it isn’t usable for its intended purpose. Also the carpark here is a nightmare.
The store and its staff deserve 5*s, but the 3* rating takes into account the horrendous car park and its white-knuckle parking experience! If you survive the drive into a space and manage to walk across to the store with your life and limbs intact, it's a great Officeworks. Staff are always welcoming and helpful and a total pleasure to deal with.
