Story

The Oakleigh Recreation Centre, the Clayton Aquatics & Health Club and the Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Glen Waverley offer the Council’s 176,000 residents and those of nearby municipalities’ state of the art recreational facilities and an array of pools to improve community health and activity.

The centres have been deliberately designed to complement one another and maximise their appeal to all sections of the Monash and wider community. The community has embraced the three Council-operated leisure centres as multi-purpose recreational facilities and meeting places.

Outdoor 50m pool opens in Summer and is not too crowded, so great for lap swimming. The pool is clean and bright with plenty of trees surrounding to make for a pleasant swim. Staff are friendly. There is also a diving pool and kids wading pools in the large outdoor space. Inside there is also a cafe with lots of table seating and a gym. Change rooms are spacious and clean.

Parking is a major problem, even late Saturday evening struggled to find a park front or rear of centre. Great modern facilities,  pools, basketball stadiums, gymnastics school, all keeping it very busy. Hopefully it gains more council funding for expansion.

I had a fantastic experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure every guest felt welcomed and comfortable. The cleanliness of the pools was impeccable, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere.

My dgtr goes for her gymnastics class here. It is a fun lively place for kids to have fun. Alongside , many classes run here for adults fitness as well. There is a gym as well and a small cafe for coffee and snacks.

Beautiful stadium, organized, easy entry and friendly reception. Always come back
