Nice furniture. On entering I was asked if i could be helped. I replied "not buying, just having a quick look during my lunch break. Within 15 mins, the sales person literally stalked me and bailed me up with no intention to ever let me go or get a breath in... 4 times!! Customer respect = zero. If I was in a buying mode, it would have also been a big Zero. No 1 rule of selling... Honour the person who may end up paying your wages and the bonus you're so desperately chasing.

I was happy to see the new Nick Scali store open up in Toowoomba as it opened up a line and quality of furniture that we have been looking for without the traveling to Brisbane and other major shopping centres. On our first visit saw a handy piece of furniture and was given the go to purchase. The staff where friendly and helpful and it was a smooth transaction with all involved very happy. I enquired as to where I can pick up my items. And this is where I'm afraid the Joy of Nick Scali ends. There is no stock kept locally. I would have to wait for it to be delivered with Tuesday being the only day that they will deliver to the Darling Downs. Thats all good it's Monday so it will come tomorrow. To my utter disbelief that was not the case either. It would have to be the next Tuesday the 30th. And it would be $50.00 PER ITEM. Minded you these items will fit in my Mazda 3. On the edge of not wanting to wait that long and the disappointment from my better half of not getting it right away, i agreed to the 30th. Two days later I received a text confirming my purchase and a delivery time on the 30th and could I confirm by texting back OK to CONFIRM. This I did and placed a note on my phone to remind me that it all needs to happen 2 to 6pm Tues 30th and that I needed to be there to :- a) pay the driver for the delivery b) except the furniture or I would miss the delivery. My day had arrived. Woke up work was normal. Left delivery money for my son to give on arrival. And waited for the call from the driver saying they where on there way to drop it off. The day came and then went. No phone call. No contact by any means. I checked the confirmation text twice to ensure that I had not misread it. Nick Scali FAILED. Arranged by them for the 30th. FAILED AS A NO SHOW. I Must be there or we would not only miss our delivery but have to pay for it again. FAILED, DELIVERY CAN'T BE PAID FOR AT TIME OF PURCHASE. FAILED, NO LOCAL STOCK. Brilliant use of technology for confirmation. FAILED, OBVIOUSLY NO FULL UNDERSTANDING ON HOW TO USE IT TO COMMUNICATE A NO SHOW. Communication skills and after sales service. EPIC FAIL. I returned to the store for a refund. Which was happily given but had to be approved from head office. FAILED AGAIN. THREE DAYS ON AND I HAVE STILL HEARD NOTHING AND STILL NOT RECIEVED MY REFUND. As lovely as you look Nick Scali your after sales FAILS ON ALL ACCOUNTS. Shop elsewhere people you get better after sales from K Mart.
