Huge thanks to Nick, the store manager at The Good Guys Toowoomba! He gave me an excellent deal and provided outstanding service from start to finish. Friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful—Nick went above and beyond to make the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Customer service like this is rare these days. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Recently we purchased a Roborock Vacuum from The Good Guys in Toowoomba. The service assistant was friendly, efficient, helpful and really knew the product so easily answered our questions. I also had a follow up request which was attended to quickly and with an excellent outcome. This was a positive experience.
There was no one around to help in Vacuums. At the checkout ,Taylah F was friendly and helpful. She did a price check for me and it was cheaper than the one I found. Abby M was not friendly or helpful. She had me stand and wait after another staff member got my item in a box for me, she served another customer even though I was there ready to pay. and then asked who was next. She was rude and didn't check the price for me and didn't check what I was saying to her.
Over the last two years, I’ve purchased a Vax pet hair vacuum, a chest freezer, and today a bar fridge.nThe Good Guys is always my first choice of appliance type stores to buy from because the staff don’t pounce on me, behaving like hungry tigers with me as their prey, the second I walk through the door.nInstead, I can walk around and actually enjoy looking at more than what I specifically came in for without feeling stalked.nHowever, they’ve always done a great job in regularly glancing up and over, making sure I’m not looking confused or unsure, and only come to me after I’ve had a bit of a look, had a chance to decide, have questions, or look like I’m ready to make a purchase, and then they happily come over smiling, ready to help.nI absolutely appreciate that in store staff.nA particular lady has stood out, giving me exceptional service on two occasions I was there.nShe was not at all pushy, and instead very welcoming and helpful, never appearing annoyed at my many questions about items, pricing and back ordering, and has both times tracked down stock, given accurate arrival times, and made me actually want to come back to the store......unlike the major rival that has me cringing upon arrival with the mindset of “ok, headphones on, head down, walk in, don’t make eye contact, just buy the thing and get out as quick as you can.”nI felt like she put in effort and was always going the extra mile for me.nSo thank you, Belinda. It’s always a pleasure.nI’ll definitely be back.
I purchased an upright Chef stove on 16 December 2024 using my credit card.nnWhen I opened my credit card statement in January 2025 I noticed I had been billed twice for the same item.nnOn inquiring with the Toowoomba Good Guys was told by Taylah that it never happened I was essentially told I was a liarnnAfter producing a photo of my credit card statement was told someone would look into it and get back to me of course that did not happen Again I had to follow up myself I later spoke with Aaron who was able to find that a second stove was sitting in their store waiting for me to collect it Yet no one from the good Guys ever called me to ascertain when I would be collecting now 21 January 2025. Some 36 days later after purchase. Very curious.nnAaron assured me after insisting I provide a screen shot of my bank account as the good Guys couldn't reverse the second transaction back into my credit card.nnI was subsequently assured by Aaron that the money $619.00 would be returned to my bank account overnight on the 22 January 25 of course this never occurred yet ANOTHER LIEnnWhen I called the manager Nick on the 23January 25 was told by Nick that he didn't know or understand his stores refund procedures when I questioned him further about fraud he hung up on me.nnWhen I attempted to speak with The Good Guys Head Office in Melbourne on 24 January 25 another explanation was provided now I was told nothing had been done about my refund until 23 January 25 and it be at 5 days wait until my refund would appear in my bank account.nnIt is now 30 January 25 and another call to head office Melbourne now told nothing was done until Monday 28 January 25 and to check with my bank what the delay is and also it could take a further 5 days so check my bank on Monday or Tuesday next week early February 25.nnThe Good Guys are not good they are crooks and fraudstersnnIn Qld the Qld Nurses and Midwives Union recommend shopping via the Union Shopper to purchase partially discounted white goods as a union member.nnIF YOU ARE CONTEMPLATING SHOPPING AT THE GOOD GUYS. DON'TnTHIS STORE ATE THIEVES LIARS AND FRAUDSTERSnnNOW IT WILL BECOME A QLD POLICE MATTERnnWORST WHITE GOODS STORE ON QUEENSLAND
