Overall, my experience with the staff was mixed. I asked whether a product included its original packaging, and was informed that it did not. To confirm this, I contacted Myer Maidstone, where staff advised that the same item in their store does include a box. I then returned to the staff to ask whether a further discount could be considered, as the item was floor stock and appeared to be missing its original packaging.nI was advised that if the product included packaging, this would be stated on the website. However, after reviewing other products of the same brand online, I noticed that packaging details were not specified, despite similar items being displayed in-store with their boxes.nI explained my understanding that the item should include a box based on the information provided by Myer Maidstone and the lack of clarification on the website. At this point, I was asked whether I would like to speak with the manager. During this interaction, I noticed staff behind the counter speaking quietly among themselves, and side eyeing each other while also side eyeing myself.nRads, the manager, addressed the matter professionally and helped bring the discussion to a resolution. The situation was ultimately handled more effectively once management became involved.nAfter the incident, I went to Elizabeth and apologised about the situation as I was frustrated that even with the information I had from both Myer Maidstone and Myer website, she was still rude towards me. When I apologised, she was still very rude.
The team leader of the shoe department, Marif, was great today! It was super busy because of all the Black Friday deals. Despite the crowd, she still took the time to patiently help my friend and I try on a few shoes. Very welcoming and professional employee.
Don’t expect much service from Estee Lauder at the front of the store. There was no one in sight to help shade match and I had to get another team member to track someone down. As a customer seeking a shade match, I was after some professional help to ensure I felt confident that I picked the right shade in terms of the specific undertones available. The lady was not very confident in her approach and put the foundation on my cheek before just asking what I thought of it. I don’t know why I bothered when I can do that myself. Customers are after sales people who can apply a shade match and confidently express their opinion with enthusiasm, but I received no such service. The checkout systems are a joke too - I was waiting for someone to notice I was even there before I had no choice but to leave to go to the perfume counter, otherwise I would be waiting forever.
After being pretty-woman’ed by the lady at the sunglasses section, the ladies at the fragrance counter saved this from being a 0 star review! Just because I dress in super casual wear, doesn’t mean I don”t have money to spend! Thank you to all the amazing team in fragrance for saving my shopping experience today
Myer Werribee is an excellent place to shop with a great variety of products for everyone. The store is always clean, well laid out, and easy to navigate, which makes the shopping experience enjoyable. Staff are polite, approachable, and go out of their way to help if you need assistance or can’t find something. There’s a wide range of clothing, shoes, beauty products, and homewares, and the quality is always reliable. They often have good specials and sales, which makes it even better value. Checkout is smooth and efficient, and click & collect is also convenient. Overall, it’s a very pleasant shopping experience and definitely one of the better department stores in the area – highly recommended for both regular shopping and gifts.
