Monterey is a neighbourhood bar/ diner at 4 Rintoul St, Newtown. Dinner 7 nights, good beer, wine, soda, sunny garden, friendly staff & great music.

Story

Monterey is a neighbourhood bar & diner established in Newtown in 2010. We serve independent beers & sodas, burgers made with homemade sauces, house-smoked meats and quality produce. Our kitchen serves great food seven days a week. Where possible our ingredients are organic, free-range and ethically sourced.

Happy Hour 430-6pm on weekdays, $10 burgers on Tuesday, $15 BBQ meals on Wednesdays and $10 takeaway burgers anytime!

We have tables you can sketch on, a sunny backyard, friendly staff, excellent music, and games that remind you of being a kid. Monterey loves you.

Terrible service, too loud - couldn’t hear myself think. Went with family for an out of town experience and left incredibly disappointed.
