Delicious, fresh and authentic. Masaaki makes his platters from whatever he is able to find locally that morning. The restaurant is intimate and always extremely busy; do not expect to just turn up and grab a table or order takeaway. I was looking forward to visiting Masaaki's for almost a year and certainly wasn't disappointed. I've already booked my next visit!

Possibly the best sushi in Tasmania! This place is so popular, they only open 2-3 days a week, there's usually a line up out of the front and are sold out within the first few hours. I would recommend calling and making a booking, you will receive other options in your meal this way, otherwise take away is limited rolls only. Wasabi is grown in Tasmania and ground fresh from the root, daily.

Truly the best sushi, worth the hour long drive from Hobart. Beware they sell out almost every Day their open and the wait times are long with lines reaching around the block. But let me say it was worth it especially the real fresh wasabi.

A must visit! Talented sushi chef who takes pride in locally sourced produce. A great showcase of what Tassie produce has to offer. Be sure to make a booking as seating is limited.

Sushi is good but no surprise as the ordinary rice which is the core of sushi. You can find many same level of sushi restaurants in Asia easily. Anyway happy to have it in Australia and thank you Massaki.
