Story

Home Hill Winery is nestled in the picturesque Huon Valley, a short thirty-minute drive south of Hobart.

With stunning views of the surrounding vines, pastures, livestock and mountains, we are a country retreat where our guests enjoy the quite peacefulness of this paradise away from the hustle and bustle.

With award-winning wines and a delicious menu in our restaurant which reflects our proud Tasmanian heritage, Home Hill is open for lunch each day and our cellar door from 10am to 5pm.

All 6 wines we picked off the menu for a tasting (cuvee, Sylvania, Chardonnay, sav blanc, rose and pinot noire) were delightfully unique and pleasant. Had a a lovely lunch; pork belly and lamb rack absolutely delicious. A marvellous white dessert wine and maraocpone and berries to finish.

Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Only two vegetarian options both of which were lovely but relatively small serves. Desserts were large and yummy. We enjoyed the wine tasting prior to eating and chose our wine after tasting. Because of the glass walls there's a real sense of location, great views of the surrounding country.

Food was great, the beef and Salmon was out of this world, the chicken was a bit dry though.
