Outstanding in every way! Dropped two bikes off at 3pm for a service and they were ready the next day! Very good value for money too.
I found myself with a broken axle on my mountain bike wheel ... ouch! Marshalls were the closest bike shop to work so dropped the wheel in at 9am. David owner explained the issue, estimated cost for repair which was less than I was expecting and texted me to let me know the wheel was ready for pick up just after 1pm. Fab and a big relief for the ride home...
Couldn't be better. Everytime I leave my bike in here to be fixed, I'm confident it will be done properly. I've to cycle way past a glitzy bike store on Pako to get to it, but its been worth it every time. If you want to go to a mechanic who knows what his doing go here.
Called up to ask about bike repairs. Said yes drop off around back at roller door. Left work early to get there before close at 5:30 as I usually finish around 6pm. Got there at 5:05 and looked like he was shutting up shop. Reminded him that I had called early that day. He told me - or made up Covid hours were different to his website- which there’s no info - should probably change that if so! Asked if I could drop the bikes off now I was there. Told me straight out NO.. no consideration, no compassion , no customer service. Obviously not wanting to make any extra money as I WONT be going back!
I've only taken 2nd-hand bikes in there haven't yet purchased a bike or parts from this trader yet despite me probably not being a very profitable customer, I still feel like a valued one. Owner is always happy to give advice and educate me on all things bicycles! Despite my rudimentary knowledge, I'm never made to feel like an idiot
Great service! Lovely man who was so helpful & my bike was off a hard rubbish but he took the time to help me out. Don’t go anywhere else; this guy has all of it in stock.
Horrible customer service experience. Rude and quite short over the phone - We worked out he could actually do the job I was asking him to do but in the end just didn't want his help anymore. Complete waste of time.
Great efficient and honest service, well priced for repairs and accessories would definitely recommend and will always take my mountain bike there
I've been going to Marshall Cycles for about 10 years. Very confident in their advice and service. Happily bought bikes and parts at Marshall Cycles and had bikes serviced, problems analysed and repaired first time. When it took DeG 8 months to get it right. I can fix a standard bike with simple gears and brakes but one of my bikes has parts I haven't learnt about, so my one luxury is to have it serviced nowadays. At busy times of the year, like Xmas & School Holidays, make sure you book in ahead of time for a service or repair as that's when everyone comes out of the woodwork suddenly realising they need their bike fixed. Also to buy bikes as presents. When it's not so busy, I've dropped bike in the morning and picked it up at the end of the day or next day. That's standard for a lot of bike stores / repairs. I've experienced the same thing at many other places. Everyone should learn to repair their own flat tyres and punctures, clean and lubricate parts. Children as young as 7 can do it. Then you're not dependent and won't get stuck en - route. It makes me realise how lucky I am that my Dad ensured we were all self sufficient when he taught us. :- :- :- I might be jumping to conclusions about other reviews here, but if a young male gets a flat tyre and can't fix it himself, gets frustrated and un-realistically expects instant attention, I wonder about the culture of instant gratification and lack of self sufficiency. Whose fault is it when people can't do common jobs anymore? Kids in my woodwork class can't hold a hammer or sand a piece of timber and persist at a technology and design project over a number of weeks?
Went in to purchace a tire, Was very rude, cut me off and told a stern "NO" when I asked if he had time to fit a tire for me today. Will not be back, recommend going to Hendry cycles in Belmont. Much better service there.
