Absolutely beautiful national park, lots of hikes, mostly accessible with a normal car. Two creek crossings, one little one , one stepper one before most of the hikes. I would recommend a 4wd but could probably get across it in a normal car. Hikes all beautiful, very well signed, tracks well maintained.
Great walks thru the brush box, rainforest and wet eucalyptus. Some tracks are closed and it's noisy because of the highway reconstruction. Also, the Crest Carpark is closed. Wait until the work is finished
Fantastic tracks to the Steamers and Mt Superbus. Unmarked but there is a clear track to follow. There is a bit of gympie-gympie so take care although I found that it was avoidable if you keept an eye out.nnBEAWARE. Google maps does not know how to navigate the roads around here. DO NOT TRUST google maps navigation to get you to the track start. Do your own homework and work out your own route.
Main Range National Park is a fantastic spot for a scenic walk through the rainforest. The views are stunning and the waterfalls are worth the trek. Just watch out for the leeches!
One of my favourite hiking trails
