Lune Croissanterie Fitzroy was right at the top of our Melbourne food bucket list, and it certainly didn't disappoint.nnWe were lucky to visit at a quieter time, so there was no queue and we were served straight away. The croissants were simply outstanding. The exterior was perfectly golden, crisp, and wonderfully flaky, while the inside was light, airy, and irresistibly buttery. Every bite melted in the mouth, and you could really taste the quality and craftsmanship that goes into making them.nnThe minimalist space and the open kitchen added to the experience, letting us watch the pastries being prepared with incredible precision. It's easy to understand why Lune has earned such an incredible reputation.nnIf you're visiting Melbourne and love pastries, don't miss Lune. It absolutely lived up to the hype, and we'd happily return on our next trip.
Absolutely incredible croissants flaky, buttery, and perfectly laminated with a beautiful golden shine. Also tried a pistachio pastry that was rich and delicious, generously topped with pistachios. The coffee was smooth and well made too.nnThe space is stunning a converted industrial building with exposed brick, high ceilings, and a striking light fixture that makes for a really cool atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly.nWell worth the visit for pastry lovers, some of the best croissants around.
The only pastry I really like here is the croissant and the one with the coconut and chocolate. Prices are definitely high. We had 3 coffees and 4 pastries which comes up to $70. The place doesn’t have too many seating area even though the place is big. There’s always a queue. Definitely a place for a very good croissant.
Ordered almond croissant and chai latte with soy. Croissant was delicious at $13. Very tasty. Chai was a bit too milk-heavy. Went on a weekday morning so very short wait to order. Service was very good; everyone was friendly. Sat on stools facing the area where the dough is rolled and cut, which was incredible to watch. The story of the owner, which can be found on YouTube, is well worth the 29-minute watch.
Lune has always been one of my favourite places for croissants, so I was a little disappointed with my visit today.nnThe kim cheese croissant still had that amazing flavour, but unfortunately, it was almost completely hollow inside. At $15 AUD, I feel it’s quite overpriced, especially considering how little filling there was.nnStill love the taste, just hope it can feel more worth the price.
