Took a couple of frangipane slices home to serve with quality vanilla ice-cream in lieu of a birthday cake. Wish we'd doubled the size of our order; they were great!

Went to Dench at 7am on Fri 29 Dec and was sold a plain white sourdough that was dry, tough and lacked a crust. Most likely I was sold a bread that was not freshly baked that morning, but probably the day before. The plain croissant was soft and not flaky at all.

Bread is amazing here both quality and variety. Average coffee and service. Meals are mostly nice.

Service with a snarl. No idea on food and coffee; waited > 10 minutes whilst staff queue jumped their friends/regulars. Efforts to engage with staff on getting service failed. Utterly pathetic.

had a terrible experience with one particularly hung over waitress who wore large round glasses which apparently do not function!!!! bread was authentic and rustic
