A nice walk coupled with amazing views throughout! The drive there was quite bumpy and uneven - a few Tesla's and 2wd hatchbacks made it to the entrance so it should be no problem for most cars. Watch for oncoming traffic though. The trail itself was moderate, and require sturdy footwear. If you're fast, probably 1hr-ish per way. Stop often to soak in the views and spot the waterfalls. Hang around for sunset if you can. Worth coming here for a day hike if ever in the Blue Mountains area. Parking: Park along dirt paths on side. Do not obstruct the main road. Restrooms: No toilets!!
Great track - the pathway is a bit narrow so you'll be walking in single file most of the way there and back but the walk itself is not difficult and is easy to navigate, plus there are amazing views at the end. The dirt/gravel road leading up to the start of the track last 7 or so kms of your commute is more suitable for SUVs but still doable with a normal car. If your car is lowered or you have a front lip with low ground clearance, the bottom of your bumper bar will likely be scratched at some point due to numerous potholes or the higher clearance required for pull in bays at narrow sections of the road.
It was amazing experience. We were a team of 8 people. Age in between 14y to 52 years! We enjoyed the beauty of the nature. Though the weather was little cloudy but it was ok. We took our Cap, hiking boots, some food, first aid kit, water etc with us. We saw other groups who came for hiking as well.Recommended activitiesHiking
Great track, took us 3 hours with a few stops to look at the views, some of the best views in the Blue Mountains Recommended activitiesHiking, Walking
A beautiful hike through the mountains that gives stunning views of the Australian landscape. The day we went was very windy but was well worth it. The drive there included roughly 15 minutes on a narrow dirt track and there wasn't much parking, but was still okay to get there without a 4WD. Total hike time was just under 2 hours, which included time to stop and take pictures.
Beautiful and spectacular scenery. 360 view of surroundings. It's always best to check weather before heading here as it gets very windy as in wild gust of winds at the top. Very open and no shelter to take cover.
I walked this trail in June. What a phantastic walk. Great views. We walked down to Acacia Flat/Campground and return. A demanding but rewarding walk.
Definitely a great walk, easy enough for kids to do and the track is fairly well maintained! The views at the end were spectacular, you have to keep an eye out for the wildlife, we spotted an Eastern Brown snake right next to the path. Thankfully it was quite place and just watched us pass. The only major improvement could be more parking, it wasn't an overly busy day yet all the parking spaces were occupied quite early.
Great walk. Different landscape than the usual in the Blue Mountains. It can be very hot and there is not much shade in spots. Take plenty of water, sunscreen and wide brimmed hat. Take the steps up to the pylon and take the track to the left back down, the views are breathtaking.
good hike! about 20 minutes on dirt road, so be careful. it is manageable in our lowered sport suspetion golf... the trail itself took us about 1 hour then and 1 hour back. we got a bit lost coming off the lookout, so many trails that aren't trails so be mindful you don't end up on the side of the rock face like we did. we went on a super windy day and on one section there is no tree cover so it was crazy windy, could have been blown over. best to go in winter because the flies we're pretty bad even in the wind
