We did the Darwin’s Walk with a group of friends, starting from the Wentworth Falls picnic area and ending at the train station. We were amazed by how beautiful this track is, with stunning waterfalls, water pools, and scenic spots one after another.nnThe path is well-marked, with sections featuring small bridges and paved walkways, making it an enjoyable nature walk. Every turn offered something new to admire, and the natural beauty kept us captivated throughout.nnIt’s definitely a walk we’d love to do again! Perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking and nature.
Easy kid and dog friendly walk.‍‍‍‍‍nLovely viewing from the many tiny iron bridges along the walk. Lovely waterfalls and trees with fairly flat path.nThere is one section of stairs which are a bit of a challenge but okay with a few rests.nLots of kids and dogs along the path. Small dogs may need to be carried over the bridges due to the metal pattern on bridges as there are small holes that tiny paws could get stuck in.nGreat walk and top it off with lunch at the Conservation Hut.
I live a walk that is easy access, has lots to see and is mostly flat and downhill. It was a busy public holiday Sunday so we didn’t get much peace or solitude, but all the kids really liked the walk.nIt was special to have the creek just flowing along beside us. Babbling away, little waterfalls every so often. This was winter after lots of rain and a glorious sunny day.nThere are toilets at the top at wilson park and at the Wentworth falls picnic area at the end, but nothing in between.nOn the day we went there was a detour in place which added about 25% to the trip back up along the road.nAll in all a great walk, recommend it if you have the extra time to walk back. Which is uphill. But better than walking back along the road.
We call it Disney small alley, everything was so cute
This was advertised in one of the bushwalks sites I followed as fully open; however, there are still some detours. Although the walk is very beautiful, I think it could use some more maintenance Spots with water bubblers are very limited and having some rubbish bins installed on the picnic areas would be nice.
