Great experience to get on the Three Sisters and enjoy its view.. windy and cold (visited here on May) , challenging but really worthed it.. nice view can be seen around.. it is an Aboriginal Place so it has some historical background (just google it or visit its information center)..

While walking from Katoomba falls to the three sisters, you will meet this challenge. You could go the easy rout and take pictures of the three sisters from the parking lot, like everyone else, but would you really want to pass up the chance to actually climb them? The stairs are very steep but secure with railings. It is a challenge but a great workout and beautiful views. The best part is hearing all the birds call each other.

It's amazing how you can be on and touch the three sisters. It's a breeze to go down, but going back up requires lots of strength. I wouldn't say that the case is giant as it is pretty narrow - a better name would be the 'Long, Narrow and Steep Stairway'. Definitely not for the unfit. There is no view at the bottom, and once you're there, the only thing you can do is go back up the way you come.

This place does not lie, it really is a giant stairway. The stairs are steep, people are going all over them and it is very challenging but it pays off once you arrive at the bottom, you walk across that bridge and into a small carve of one of the sisters. You can see and feel the rock, sit in the chair and take many scenic pictures.

If you're planning on climbing these stairs, then make sure you come fully prepared, with the proper shoes because some steps are uneven and some missing, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Going down these stairs was easy, but going up was just brutal and something I really underestimated. On my way up, I saw several people collapsing, some crying, and some refusing to move because they couldn't handle the challenge. It was tough, but definitely worth the climb...
