Its nice walk and cool rain forest merge into another walk. Council should put more sign, train information map and grade information. Overall nice family day out as kids play is great and option to have a drink or icecream from Ampol.
Callicoma walk is a very long but thrilling adventure. We saw several beautiful plants and scenes during the walk. There were also several sub parts of the walk and a playground. Some small obstacle courses which was quite fun but short. We were kind of lost for over 10 minutes figuring where we were but when we did we were very off track.overall though it’s close and very long giving you more things to explore.
Great walk all types use the walk of life, from goggers walkers dogwalkers, cricketers, fitness on the basket ball court, fantastically kept baseball field and even a really cool skateboard park. all are enjoying friendly accomplishment of daily life.nThis place is it all.n4 star only because the bins were full and spilling all over the place.nPeople please respect what has been given to you. Clean up after yourself please, so others enjoy what you enjoyed when you received it clean.nLeave it as you found it, take memories and leave footprints.nIt's easy.
Trust me you need directions at each point, the signs boards are not enough. You need good internet connection to get connected to internet for Google Maps guide because you can easily get lost on the track. It’s a nice walk but directions provided are not enough. We were walking round and round on the same route for 20 min and couldn’t find the track. ‍ it was a bit confusing.nIt’s 4 km walk and you can easily finish the circuit track in an hour or hour and a half.nnRecommend for good morning walkn3/5
Beautiful walk. Picked a hot day for this one, so extended time in the shade along the creek was appreciated.nnPlenty of birds and lizards out today. Everything was green from the recent rain, so was gorgeous to walk through. Planning to come back again during Spring to get some better photos with the plants floweringnnThe track has been well prepped. Pillars have been set at a couple of creek crossings to avoid getting wet feet. Most of the steeper sections have steps cut into the rocks. There are signs/markers/blazes along the trail - keep an eye out for them and you should be ok for directions.nnCan start at the service station, as per the website instructions, but starting at the intersection of Macquarie and Francis Greenway and going anti-clockwise will put you at the service station about 4kms in - good time for a drink/ice cream with a shorter finish. Worked out nicely for us with the short one along for the walk today.nnTotally doable by anyone with reasonable fitness or patience to take it easy - Mr 10 was just fine with the track. There are some steeper pinches here and there though.
