On Thursday, 23rd of July, around 3:30PM, i witnessed the old woman with the grey bob and wears a covid mask who usually stands at the door scanning receipts yep, the same one who smokes cigarettes in her uniform at the bus stop area, stopping a disabled man with a backpack and accusing him of stealing. I actually know this man as he is on the same bus as me in the morning. He was visibly upset. “I don’t know why you’re doing this to me, what did I do wrong?” he asked. He was crouched down on the ground and she forced him to unpack his entire backpack. She wasn’t targeting anyone else, despite everyone beeping that day this was when the new glass doors had just come in to this kmart. This lady is very stereotypical and accusatory. I have seen her target innocent foreign people and disabled people, but not the actual people stealing. She has targeted me before just because i had a bag bigger than a small handbag holding all of my work stuff. “LADY WITH THE BIG BAG, GET BACK HERE!” she yelled. This was about a year ago. I just kept walking because I hadn’t stolen anything. I was in my work uniform too, why would I even think of committing a crime wearing that? She is an awful lady and she makes kmart look bad by blowing her cigarette smoke everywhere outside. I was very disappointed to see this encounter as I have a mental disability too. My thoughts go out to the victim.
Set up is good having the checkouts at the front again but I like to be served by a person not a computer what ever happened to customer service and the fishing section use to be double side now its just half a rack its all too cramped as well so not going back in there
The new layout is absolutely shocking. Everything is just thrown around randomly in the store. Why are there 5 different places to find women’s jackets. Why cant there just be 1. There’s no order to this and clearly no thinking was involved.
Zigzagging through isles of supposedly enticing goods, only to find I had to SERVE MYSELF. As an 80 year old, finding I cannot walk as far as I used to, did not make me happy. K Mart will not be where I shop in future.
**do not shop here, you will be spitefully targeted by rude plainclothed loss prevention staff** I have NEVER in my life been made to feel so unwelcome as a customer. I came in a with my headphones on and my shopping bags in a hurry so i put them on the ground nearby as i looked up and down the makeup aisle for what i needed. There was an obnoxious plain clothed older woman in the makeup section the whole time and at first i only noticed her in the corner of my eye & suspected she could be LP but then for the next 15 minutes straight she made it her personal mission to make it as obvious as possible she WAS lost prevention staff making it beyond clear she was there to watch me which is the literal opposite of her job description, no? Is she not just going out of her way AND paid position to victimise out of personal spite by that point?? she didn’t remotely try to shop and instead stood 3 meters behind me just GLARING at me with a look of pure hate & disgust!? She genuinely made me so beyond uncomfortable i got to the point of turning around and staring back smiling and/or laughing at her. She knew after 5 mins, let alone 10 or 15 that i was actively shopping and chose to stand there looking at me with such hatred when i had done nothing wrong. Before anyone says she wasn’t loss prevention - she was behind me the entire 20 minutes i was there and didn’t look at any items, stared at me directly instead of items, and didn’t pick ANYTHING up until 10 minutes into said staring when i finally turned around and confronted her… not to mention on the way to the registers she just so happened to walk directly towards me and bump into my left arm & all my bags - which you can see on the cameras. She was a larger lady with a bright blue tshirt hard to miss. and grey/ brown thin ‘crunchy’ hair in a sloppy high ponytail hanging to the side, unfortunately I can’t describe her face since it was turned up at me the whole time I’m really not exaggerating, it truely made me want to leave. I was so tempted to ask her name but knew she’d deny her role and refuse so I’ve taken it here. I come to this Kmart every week or so and have done for some time so it’s honestly disappointing that I’ve been made to feel unwelcome- again, for doing absolutely nothing wrong, which she had identified and chose to ignore seemingly for her own internal power trip. FYI to that seemingly bitter older woman; the tattoos you singled me out because of are worth MORE than entire year of your salary… you know im not stealing your $6 Sheglam eye shadow, and your at work babe- put your upper lip back down, save it for the mirror at home.nTime / date - Friday 10/07 aprx 4:35pm-4:58pm beauty department & register area believe it or not I paid for everything too …!!!!!! the 16/17 year old girl at the register was lovely and an amazing worker- seems the 50/60 year old could learn from her.
