Went there to get matched with the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and just like the last time, the makeup artist was nowhere to be found however, there was a lovely David Jones sales assistant who was more than happy to help me. She got the shade (#6) spot on during the first try and gave me a sample that would've lasted me 10 days if I had worn it everyday. I complimented her makeup and she gave the brands and details of her makeup. You go girl, thank you for helping me.

I've just been reading previous comments stating lack of customer service. I have found the exact opposite! I've been to the Eastland store 3 times this week seeking Christmas presents each time I've had wonderful staff helping going out the back to make sure there was not a special size hiding. This afternoon I collected an item they had put aside for me. That's after I rang to see if the size was still available. There was no problem with the sales girl checking & then happy to keep it until I could return. Then I went to lingerie & was served by Lisa whose service & advice was exceptional. There was no pressure to buy which is often the case in other stores. I did buy & will return to see Lisa for more help early next year. I'm loving David Jones, my experiences there are far better than Myer. Well done to all the staff at Eastland

Like DJs above most dept stores. Annoying waiting for service, esp in cosmetics . Brands that rely on others to serve customers as the counter only staffed few hours per week by their own staff.

A huge thank you to Max from Mens Suiting at Eastland for the exceptional service we received from him in choosing a suit, and accessories for my husband. We appreciated his knowledge and input and the time he spent with us.

Just tried to buy 2 men's shirts on special. Sign above said Take another 40% off. Tried look for an open cash register. Finally found one. The 40% was not applied. I queried and was told in rather certain terms that it is not believable that there is another 40% off. I convinced staff to follow me to show them the sign. Along the way had further mutterings and eye rolling. When I showed them the signed they explained that the extra 40% only applies to the rack behind the sign not the table right in front of it. I was then just dismissed. Staff misplaces sign leading to misleading advertising, effectively acusing customer of lying and when proven wrong instead of apologising and honoring their mistake they just dismissed me and turned away. Last time I set foot in any David Jones. Myer it is from now.
