Hoskings Jewellers

I will not shop here again due to the customer service or lack thereof in this store. I went in the store today to get a watch for work, I waited for 15 minutes before I got served by someone who apparently just finished their break, and in that time no one even acknowledged me, not even an eye contact or a "someone will be with you soon" thrown in my direction. When I did get served, the sales assistant came off as a bit condescending, but I didn't think much of it. After deciding on the watch, I asked her to show me some of the rings I had my eyes on and whether they came in small sizes. None of them do so I kind of joked about my fingers being too small, the lady was like " you can eat more rice" ('I'm a petite Asian woman with dark hair and a bit of an accent, made worse by my recent jaw dysfunction), I was so shocked. I work in customer service myself, first of all I'm not allowed to say anything with racial/cultural connotations to my customers, secondly I don't think the majority of Aussies are racist, I go months without thinking about my or anyone' else's race, at my work we are all one big family and no one sees me as a 'minority". Consequently I was so shocked to be 'reminded" by a fellow retail employee. That was not professional at all. There were other stock in the store I might potentially buy, like the tree of life necklaces and some silver bracelets I was looking at earlier. However, due to what happened today I will no longer go back.

I recently Went to Hoskings @ Eastland on the VERY hot Saturday 6:1:'18 coz I had broken the face of my very old (30 years) watch so wanted a replacement to wear as it was going to be difficult to get my watch fixed- I knew Hoskings @ Eastland had a sale on so I went there & was quickly looked after by a very pleasant member of the staff- After trying on some very nice watches I made my choice @ am now happily wearing my new watch whilst waiting to get my old one fixed- As a bonus- I was given some very helpful advice on where to get my old watch fixed... I can't be more pleased with the service I received there....

Went in and saw a watch we wanted to buy on Sunday. Decided that as it was only 1 pm we would come back and purchase it just before we left the shopping centre rather than carry it around for a couple of hours. Went back at 3.35 pm only to find the shop was closed!!! It had closed at 3pm...2 hours before the rest of the shops! Saw no signage or notification while in the shop that it closes early on a Sunday!! They out on a $150 purchase!

Went there the other week. Was looking for a wedding ring for my fiance, ladies were not helpful what so ever. She was very rude and blunt and only cared about how much I would spend, not about what I wanted. Very disappointed with my service and would not go back again.

Went to this jewellers today to buy a ring for my partner and the customer service was downright horrible. Was never once greeted or asked if I wanted help. I had to ask if my partner could be ring sized and the woman threw the ring sizer at my partner. They had 4 staff on and all they cared about was talking amongst one another. Would never go back or buy from them, very disappointed with the customer service we received.
