I would like to make a formal complaint regarding a staff member named  JILLAN  staff members knew exactly who I was talking about , so this isn’t the first time  who has repeatedly displayed unprofessional and discourteous behaviour towards customers.nnDuring a recent visit, I was shopping with my 10-year-old daughter when she briefly bounced a ball once while we were walking to collect a shopping basket. Rather than approaching me as her parent, this staff member shouted across the store at my daughter not to bounce the ball. This was both unnecessary and inappropriate.nnMy daughter has significant social anxiety and is on the autism spectrum. Being publicly yelled at by an adult in a crowded store caused her considerable distress and embarrassment, and we felt compelled to leave the store immediately.nnHad there been a concern regarding store policy, I would have expected the staff member to approach me directly and politely explain that balls are not to be bounced in the store. My daughter was not behaving disruptively, running around, or causing a disturbance. She was accompanied by me at all times and simply bounced the ball once to test it.nnUnfortunately, this is not the first occasion on which I have witnessed or experienced rude behaviour from this staff member. On a previous visit, I observed an elderly customer, who appeared to be approximately 75–80 years old, move a trolley that was blocking an aisle so she could pass through. Gillian then moved the trolley back into place and instructed the customer to walk around it instead. I found this interaction discourteous and lacking in consideration for an elderly shopper.nnI understand that staff are responsible for enforcing store policies and maintaining order. However, this can and should be done respectfully. The tone, manner, and approach used by this staff member are consistently rude, abrupt, and unprofessional, and they create an unpleasant experience for customers.nnI would appreciate this matter being reviewed, including any available CCTV footage of the incident involving my daughter. Very easily one can admire the place as soon as you walk in as it's just vibrant and tidy which makes you want to just browse for the hell of it despite obviously going there for a particular reason. What's more telling and stands out as being top ranked out of all the KMarts is the fact that the check-out is also as tidy and pleasant as the rest of the store is.

Personal Experience Review – Kmart SylvaniannI visited Kmart Sylvania recently and overall it’s a fairly good store — it’s open 24/7 and has the products you’d expect at reasonable prices, which makes it convenient for locals in the Sylvania area.  nnHowever, I did have an unpleasant experience that I feel others should be aware of. During my visit, I felt like I was treated differently because I was wearing a niqab, and there were moments that felt quite uncomfortable — almost like there was an Islamophobic undertone in how some people reacted. This might not be everyone’s experience, but it’s worth noting so that other Muslim customers can be mindful. Stuff like this can happen anywhere, but it was disappointing to face such behaviour.nnThe environment around the store is generally okay, but sometimes there are people nearby who can be rude or aggressive — I personally overheard someone being yelled at just recently. So while the area and the store itself are fine in terms of products and convenience, customers should be prepared to be cautious and stay respectful to others.nnKmart Sylvania has a decent overall rating from many shoppers about 4.2, with lots of people enjoying the variety and service, but there are also comments about confusing layouts and mixed experiences with staff friendliness.

I’ve been going here for 40 years and always such a great experience. Not anymore. The new design and layout is disorganised and messy. No room to move. Good luck getting stroller through the front door. The checkouts are non existent of any humans or customer service. May as well shop online direct with Temu and others from now on. Such a shame. So disappointing.

Only one K-mart in Sydney that's open 24 hours. This is at Sylvania and it's very big. KMart is a place where we can shopping at a low price. There's also a free parking part. Overall, it was great.
