The store is constantly filthy, understocked, and hazardous. I strongly believe someone from Kmart rep needs to come down and investigate why the store is filthy with constant rubbish, spills, and destroyed product. Why the shelves are never filled with the most updated stock, and why customer service is so poor. I wouldn't be surprised if someone seriously hurts themselves tripping over the rubbish in product that's constantly left on the floor.
We visited this large department store to look for stationery. They have many departments including apparel, toys, electrical, home, bedding and more. The staff at the entrance told us where the stationery section was. When we arrived there, we asked the staff where a particular item was and she led us to the item. We managed to buy the items we needed but there was a slight issue at checkout. We needed to get a member of the staff to reset the self checkout machine before it would accept cash. We managed to complete the purchase and prices were reasonable.
I regularly come into Kmart at Gungahlin and this is the worst shopping experience!!! Shop is disgusting. Gross overflowing bin next to the checkout that smelt horrible. Came into the shop to look for some essenitals and was surprised I didnt find a rat jumping out at me from the filth. Went to find help for missing items that say they are in stock and the only person I saw on the check out was scrolling on his phone. Walked out and hope to never walk back in. To Big W I go.
I don't know if there was some freak indoor weather phenomenon that had struck just before I arrived but holy shlt the place was that much of a disaster zone I half expected to see the government throwing money at it to help with the rebuild.nTrip hazards in every aisle. Random items in wrong departments but I did need those silicone baking mats I found while looking at undies. Zero order or groupings of stock. Had to remove multiple mobile clothes racks from aisles just to look at things. 400 shirts on hangers crammed on to a singular hook made for 15 max. I grabbed my size from about 3/4 the way back, I felt the ground shake and the great tshirt avalanche of 2026 begun It was on the news!. I spent the next 48 days digging my way free only to find the shirt size and hanger did not match.nFor a place that holds 37,429 trillion items how can you have so many empty shelves? Oh that's right because everything is jammed on one hook, one shelf or on the floor to the point I think I now could qualify for the World Parkour Championship AND stand a chance. So......... thank you I guess ‍nIt was also the worst treasure hunt just to find one toy. And no I did not find it. You wrecked my kids birthmas Kmart Gungahlin.
Kmart in Gungahlin is excellent! The store is clean and well-stocked with a wide variety of products at great prices. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. It's my go-to place for affordable shopping. Highly recommend for a pleasant and hassle-free experience!
