Hi! I don’t usually do a google review or leave a complaint very new for me but I felt I needed to after what I have experienced today. I had purchased on the 9th of September yesterday a quilt cover for a double. When I got home realised I got the wrong size that was stupid on my end so I thought it would be no problem when I go to return it at castle hill Kmart because it hadn’t been opened and I had my receipt and was bringing it back within the 60 days. When I approached the service desk for returns, I was served by an older lady, she was the only older lady there with grey hair and an unfortunate attitude like I get it but come on. I explained to her my situation and was just looking to exchanged it for a queen. She then responded with unwarranted attitude and ultimately gave me the wrong advice. She explained to me she can’t return it no reason for why, that there are clearly signs around the store stating they can’t return quilt covers there isn’t and that the quilt cover is clearly labeled D for double thanks I hadn’t noticed, like obviously that’s why I need to exchange it. She unfortunately said this with a very demeaning attitude and made me feel quite stupid which totally valid if she was right. As I understand what it’s like to work in retail I politely thanked her and walked away. I checked the website to see what the return policy was and it does not say I can’t return the quilt cover. I then went to north rocks to check if they had the same policy. They did not and returned it with no issues whatsoever. I think if you’re going to work in the customer service world, maybe treat your customers with a bit more respect.
Not helpful young staff not good response to customer queries. Indifferent approach. Being regular customer at other Kmart store this one is disappointing.
If you’re a local to Castle Towers Kmart then you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about!nnI want to give a big shoutout to the young guy who’s always at the front entrance greeting customers with a big smile and giving high fives to kids. His positive energy and enthusiasm even when I’m sure it can be far from it but he truly makes the shopping experience so much better.nnI absolutely love coming to Kmart and seeing him there he’s a real asset to the team
Was helped by a dedicated employee named Riddhima who lead me to the electronics isle with a smile on her face. Best Kmart I have been to, however the clothes were a bit messy and they didn’t have the right scooter for my grandchild - Riddhima even checked out the back! Some suspicious activity from the other workers, they were huddled in a group like the Great Pacific Garbage patch whilst I searched for my items.
