I recently had a very disappointing experience with Kmart's Click and Collect service. I ordered a toy Hulk figurine for my little cousin's birthday, and when I went to pick it up, I was shocked to find the box ripped and destroyed. It looked like it had been through a lot before reaching me.nnThis is completely unacceptable, especially for a gift. The condition of the packaging was so poor that I would feel far too embarrassed to present it as a birthday gift even though the box will be opened anyway. When I called the store they advised me that the one I purchased was the last in stock. It would be ideal to receive some kind of compensation for my troubles. They offered me a refund but the birthday party was the same evening. This did not adequately solve my issue.nnI admit that I bought this last minute but I find it dreadfully dishonest that Kmart promises to have click and collect ready by 4pm the same day. I understand stock can be an issue but once someone wrapped this as a click and collect item, shouldn’t they have actioned a refund instead?!
I know a lot of people find Kmart/Kmart Brunswick a good place to shop but I have to, in general, disagree. My reasons: they used to have decent brands at this store—brands of clothing in particular that used to last for years such as Bonds. Now, and for some years, it seems much of their stock, at the very least any clothing, is their own brand which, I must say, is one of the worst I’ve ever seen or purchased; clothing items I’ve purchased here have lasted not long at all until they’ve stretched and, thus, lost their shape particularly underwear and socks the latter of which literally lasted only three wears 3 pack bought one month ago for $3….their own brand, of course.nnMy other reason for only two stars is that, on the whole, the clothing here, whether it’s their own brand likely sourced from overseas sweat-shops, btw! or other Kmart-independent brands, their exists a perennial and distinct lack of style, sophistication, a decent cut, and aesthetics in general.nnI really feel that, in both general terms and with particular regard to clothing, here you quite literally get what you pay for— not for those who value quality over quantity.nIt’s a real shame, as well, as, say, ten/fifteen years ago the quality offered here was so much greater that it is now and has been for some time that it just pales in comparison.nnI support cheaper prices, obviously, and I support those who shop here, of course, and I give this place thumbs up for trying but the other side of it is necessary value and some average degree of quality for one’s money which, in general terms, at least when it comes to any sort of clothing, this place and, by extension, all Kmart establishments, simply cannot offer.nnNow, of non-clothing items I can’t really say as my trust is almost zero given both my experience with and observation of, basically, all of their clothing. However, I do say buyer beware. Thanks for reading
For Kmart this store is smaller but still have all the bibs and bobs you need. Was clean and well organised. Staff were friendly and helpful. Kmart never seem to let me down in any of there stores. Big thumbs up. Will be happy to go back. Easy free parking. Many other shops there too. A lot of food plus entry onto Sydney Road too. Enjoyed the experience
Was looking at purchasing something slightly bulky, so chose to come to this store over the CBD one as parking is free here and I don't have to worry about racking up a parking bill whilst taking our time shopping with my toddler. Spacious and clean, managed to purchase what we came here for but stock was limited on quite a few items though. Check out was a bit confusing as it's not near the exit as you'd expect, and though there were many self checkout machines, there was still a long queue, but wait time wasn't too bad. More than one staff to assist. As it's part of a shopping centre, there's public toilets available, including a decent parents room.
I couldn’t work out how to post a review on Uniqlo, but I needed to share somewhere so I have found myself here.nMy shirts seams are a bit off. See below for proof. This is a Uniqlo shirt!
