Just had our wedding down in Yallingup and our guests all stayed at Karriview. Having previously read the reviews of Karriview I was a little unsure about the level of service but to my surprise and delight the new manager of Karriview, Gary, made our stay incredible. From the Friday night dinner (which Karriview put on) to the fantastic breakfast spreads what can I say but this venue is going to be making headlines in the future for all of the right reasons.

We have been trying to get in contact to cancel our booking . Have left many messages with our phone number for them to contact us or to cancel our booking . They never once called us back or the booking agent . Now they have charged us full price for the room . Not impressed if we new this we would have given the room away to a family member . Starting to think this place is a scam as you cant get through to them

Absolutely terrible. Upon arrival there was not one person there apart from the groundskeeper mowing lawns, we had to ask him where everyone was and was told the girls are having a 'rest'. He helped us to our dreadful room 'Forest view 2 ' which was nice of him but weird, we then later saw the groundskeeper in the kitchen preparing meals at the restaurant...must have alot of credentials. The water supply there is brown, looks to me as if it was bore water. Not nice when you want to have a romantic spa bath for our wedding anniversary. Our phone did not work at all, could not even ring reception or our kids back home, wifi did not connect, the room forest view 2 smelt like paint or some kind of chemical, my wife and i got headaches. There is no foxtel which is stated on their website. Having asked this at reception they moved us to a room 'bears retreat'. They acknowledged the smell themselves in the first room, told us the water had alot of calcium but after a bit of educating that calcium is milky white they then said its just brown and its fine. They also admitted when asked about foxtel that the website is false advertising about it, and the in house movies to see where at reception...even though there is no dvd or media player in either rooms? They offered us a cheap bottle of wine for the troubles, no thanks. Asked for a full refund as we were not going to even stay there 1 night of the 3 we booked at $250 per night which they reluctantly agreed to thankgod. I could go on and on about the rooms and the service but ive written enough. Not even worth 1 star but i had to put something in as a rating. The location is great, secluded and tranquil, just EVERYTHING else let it down. WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE COMING BACK AND WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO BOTHER EITHER.

Had 2 nights at Karrieview. Positives first: Location cannot be beaten. Bed super comfortable and outlook from room - gorgeous! Staff service - non existent. Phone call received from Adam whilst we were on way from Perth advising he would be offsite and would leave a welcome package with details about restaurant etc. Only thing was envelope taped to reception door with check-in paper and instructions how to get to our room. (Key in room door) Room - dirty - cobwebs everywhere - bathroom not clean -mould Spa bath - single - not used as jets dirty carpets very stained balcony/terrace covered in cobwebs excess leaves etc No Wi Fi although said on web Television didn't work - although said on web Airconditioner - didn't use as covered in cobwebs Lamps covered in cobwebs Blown light globes Beds not made up daily website says daily room service so had to make our own bed. We saw no-one our entire stay (as other guests we spoke to said the same) until whilst leaving Monday am I had to call out to someone in kitchen to hand key in. I asked for Adam and was told he was sleeping and she could wake him up if I wanted. Advised this girl that TV hadn't worked and bed not made up for us. She advised us that if we were using a groupon booking we didn't get the bed made up and the only response we got was 'sorry about that". As the groupon voucher stated this was A $620 VALUE - one would expect that for $310 per night you could reasonably expect everything that is stated on the booking site and not be treated as a lower class booking. (really how long does it take to make a bed for a guest and clean a room properly) Advised by local real estate agent that property up for sale - maybe that's agent that's why staff don't care about the place or the guests. Not sure Groupon Booking people would be happy about the reviews I've also seen other people post if they want people to buy the bookings in the future. In summary - beautiful location but shame on non-existent staff and services.
