Avoid staff member: ‘JL’ jean-luc.nMy husband and I shop at JB Doncaster every now and then, as well as my siblings.nWhen we visited recently, my husband was after 2x portable chargers, he went to a staff member ‘JL’ for assistance name mentioned on his lanyard.nnWhen my husband asked for 2, not only did Mr ‘JL’ respond rudely, he had a full on attitude for no reason and even responded to my husband ‘why do you want 2’ in an obvious rude tone and was hesitant to give him 2 and looked at him, his whole demeanour was rude and didn't look like he wants to serve, not only it was none of his business with the way he asked, but my husband also had to repeat himself when asking for another one as well.nnWe even were being assisted by another staff later who was super nice at the Apple section, and ‘JL’ comes out of nowhere and rudely says at his own staff colleague ‘are you going to stop talking to them and help these people’. We look at him with disgust that he not only treats customers rudely but he treats his own colleagues rudely. And this was rude/offensive to us again.nnWe thought he was having a bad day that time.. until recently I visit JB Doncaster again and was with my husband and siblings.nnMy sister wanted a kindle, and waited patiently to be served since she couldn't get it herself as the kindles were locked away, she just wanted to ask for a specific kindle she's after. In the end out of all people, she is served by Mr ‘JL’ himself again, she mentioned it is under staff sale, as I am in the shop with her, and straight away not only he abruptly was rude to her with a rotten attitude, he said with assumption: “if you're with staff tell us before so you don't waste our time” - and he said the ‘don't waste our time’ repeatedly! This is absolutely disgusting behaviour, this man shouldn't be a mgr or work if he is going to treat people like dirt no matter if for staff sale or customer or to a colleague, he’s meant to do proper customer service correctly, this ‘JL’ just makes assumptions and doesn't know how to be kind at all, there is no kindness showing in him. I worked in retail for 10+ years and never saw someone as abhorrently rude like 'JL'.nnThis needs to be taken into consideration, people like him shouldn’t work at a place like JB, my sister will be avoiding him if she visits the store again. It was shocking.

Every time I bought something from this shop, I later regretted my decision! They have a ridiculous return policy, and the staff give wrong advice. Last experience, I asked two staff members for advice last week; they pointed me to the wrong product, which I bought based on their advice, only to find out that it is the wrong item after just opening the box. It was quite a challenge to refund the item - the staff make it so hard!! Even the sales manager gave me a very hard time to accept a return of an item, claiming their return policy is “just like other retailers” which is terribly not!.nStrongly recommend not purchasing things from this business! Also, strongly recommend not making decisions based on recommendations from their staff!

Amazing staff who went out of their way to help me find the perfect headphones! Amazing South Asian guy at the counter helped me exchange a product and found a lovely young floor staff guy who was super helpful in explaining and recommending options from the wide range of stock at this store in comparison to Knox

Had a terrible experience attempting to purchase a phone in store. Was told not in stock but could be ordered to store or online. A few minutes after leaving, it then changed on the website to in store only but after calling back I was told by the store to come in and they'd be able to order the phone to the store. After arriving I was told this was not actually the case. Specifically the manager Holly tried to gaslight me by claiming something else was said. Super unhelpful, would avoid.

Good store, but the customer service was disappointing. I understand the busy times, but the team should still show a positive attitude. After waiting a long time, I had to approach a staff member myself, and the person in the phone section was rude and uninterested. This isn’t usually the case at JB Hi-Fi, but it was a poor experience and I didn’t get the help I needed. I’d be hesitant to shop here again. Please improve customer service.
