I would like to give a big thank you to Ash at JB HIFI Doncaster Westfield for the outstanding customer service. I came to collect my order just before closing time and picked up the wrong item. Even though Ash had already finished for the day, he stayed back to help resolve the issue with patience and professionalism. His dedication and willingness to go above and beyond were truly appreciated.nnA special thank you as well to the duty manager, Ken, who quickly arranged for the correct item to be provided. I really appreciate the excellent service from both of you. Your kindness, efficiency, and commitment to helping customers made what could have been a stressful situation a very positive experience. They’ve got a massive range, from TVs and headphones to laptops and games, and it’s usually easy to find what you’re looking for. The staff are generally knowledgeable and happy to help without being pushy, which makes the experience pretty smooth. Overall, a reliable store that’s good for both quick purchases and comparing options.

I went in to inquire about a product and request a price match. The staff member who served me — his name sounded like Dean — said, “OK, I’ll have a look,” but then left to serve another customer. I found this behaviour very unprofessional.nnAnother staff member came to assist and advised that they couldn’t price match because the company needs to specify that it is an Australian company and has Australian stock. They said they were unable to verify this, even though the company has an Australian address and phone number. She mentioned it was a “grey area.” Interestingly, the product model number indicates it is Australian stock.nnThe manager then stated that the website must belong to an authorised Apple retailer, but it didn’t appear to be one. I asked if this was JB Hi-Fi’s policy for price matching, and she confirmed it wasn’t. She reiterated that the company must be Australian and stock Australian products. I questioned further: the website is an Australian online store with an Australian address and contact number, and the product has the same model number as the one listed on JB’s website. Doesn’t that meet the criteria? She simply responded, “No, I don’t want to.”nnTo be clear, I would have had no issue if they were unable to price match, provided there was a reasonable explanation. However, the responses I received were inconsistent and dismissive.nnThis is the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had at any JB Hi-Fi branch. Your staff need better training in professionalism, understanding store policies, product knowledge, and customer service skills.

Entered the shop and said good morning to the man at the counter, completely ignored me.nHad another young man who was very helpful and then he left me at the kiosk and served someone else.nThe business must be suffering, I feel sorry for them but customer service should be their first priority.nWill never go back

Every time I bought something from this shop, I later regretted my decision! They have a ridiculous return policy, and the staff give wrong advice. Last experience, I asked two staff members for advice last week; they pointed me to the wrong product, which I bought based on their advice, only to find out that it is the wrong item after just opening the box. It was quite a challenge to refund the item - the staff make it so hard!! Even the sales manager gave me a very hard time to accept a return of an item, claiming their return policy is “just like other retailers” which is terribly not!.nStrongly recommend not purchasing things from this business! Also, strongly recommend not making decisions based on recommendations from their staff!
