I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Doncaster Officeworks due to the behaviour of a staff member named Desmond. What should have been a simple pricing enquiry turned into an uncomfortable and frustrating interaction.nnThere was a clear pricing error placed by staff on the shelf. When we politely raised this issue, instead of investigating or assisting professionally, Desmond immediately dismissed our concern and went as far as calling us liars. This accusation was made despite us calmly showing photo evidence of the incorrect pricing displayed in-store. Even with clear proof presented, he refused to acknowledge the mistake or offer any form of resolution.nnCustomer service should be based on respect, professionalism, and a willingness to assist customers—especially when evidence is provided. Being accused of dishonesty as a customer is unacceptable and left us feeling disrespected and embarrassed.nnMistakes happen in retail environments, and that is understandable. However, the way they are handled defines the quality of service. In this case, the response was defensive, dismissive, and unprofessional.nnI hope management addresses this situation seriously, as no customer should be spoken to in this manner. Until staff are better trained in handling pricing disputes and customer interactions respectfully, I would hesitate to recommend this store based on this experience.
This store has consistently had great service and been great in honoring price matching. Ruby was especially great as she was extremely patient as she encouraged me to contact the wife and get my Onepass details from home so that I could get my 5x Flybuys points and waited patiently for a good 5 minutes it was late so no customers waiting while I obtained the details. Hannah was also very good for checking stock and putting aside for me to pick up at the store.
Don't have the same level of stock as the Smith street store no phone cases for Z7 flip. The printing section is also quite separate from the rest of the store - you have to go down a flight of stairs etc.nnStill a nice store that has most of your everyday things at fair prices.
Matt who was working yesterday in the internet section really helped me made the decision to purchase a booster for my wifi apartment. I’m so grateful to him for being very patient and educating customers like me. It goes along way and made me buy the product! Thanks again Matt.
Pranav at the Doncaster office was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Fantastic service and a genuinely good person.
