HOYTS Bankstown is a great place to watch movies! The cinema is always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The recliner seats are super comfy, and the sound and picture quality are excellent it really makes the movie experience so much better.nThe staff are friendly and helpful, and the snack bar is well stocked with all the usual favourites — popcorn, drinks, and choc tops. It’s also in a convenient spot inside Bankstown Central, so it’s easy to grab a meal or do some shopping before or after your movie.nOverall: A great local cinema with awesome seats, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Perfect for family nights or catching the latest release with friends!
The movie experience was okay , but there are many things that looks like need to be repaired, the seats were too old and torn . Overall movie was good , but the place looks a bit dirty. I’m not leaving 1 star , as I hope the management team is working to improve on the public’s suggestions.
I usually enjoy going to the movies, but this visit was honestly frustrating. I was in Cinema 08 and my seat was filthy, covered in old popcorn and clearly hadn’t been cleaned between sessions, even though I arrived only 2 minutes before the movie started. I had to go back down and find a staff member just to get the seat cleaned, which made the whole experience even more annoying. It was supposed to be a recliner, but the reclining function didn’t even work. On top of that, the armrest was broken. Really disappointed and not sure I’ll be coming back unless things improve.
BANKSTOWN HOYTS: A complete and utter disgrace which should be avoided at all costs.nnContext: Today, I went to watch Superman, or at least intended to. Once I entered cinema 06, I was met by complete filth. Arm rests were a rare commodity, with most being ripped off completely see photo. Further, popcorn decorated the floor and every seat, and countless leather seats were ripped. However, the kicker was the faulty projector which left a distracting cross like mark on the screen see photos, and prevented any kind of passable cinema going experience. Unacceptable.nnRefund and employee revelations: Following this, I left the cinema, 10 seconds after the film started, and confronted the teller and obtained a refund . After I told the teller this ,she confirmed she already knew that the screen was faulty, recounting how difficult it was for her to watch a movie in that same cinema 06.nnJudgement: This is ridiculous and Hoyt’s upper management should not be able to sell tickets for cinemas in a state like this. I recommend a complete bulldozing of the place, and for Events to replace it.
