When we wanted to sell my mother-in-law’s bungalow we consulted three estate agents. Shelley was the one we felt most comfortable with and we liked her approach to selling the property. We mainly dealt with Shelley and to a lesser extent Cheryl. Both were very helpful and easy to get hold of. They kept us informed throughout the process, which took about eight months as the first chain broke. Shelley pushed hard and managed to get the second chain through in a time of turmoil in the market. We would certainly recommend Philip Hodges.
I recently purchased a flat and the whole team were great from the initial viewing through to purchase. They kept me constantly updated and nudge the solicitors when required. The level of service went on after the sale when I required some extra information from the vendor which they obtained within 24hrs.
Having tried to sell with another Lower Sunbury agent for 6 months, I had got nowhere except to get a lot of viewings but with several offers at ridiculously low levels. I was desperate to sell as risked losing a property I wanted and so was then advised by that agent to reduce my price substantially and was assured I would get a flood of asking price offers, which didnt happen. I then instructed Shelley at Philip Hodges and the difference in experience was like chalk and cheese. She gave excellent advice and got her colleague Carey to also visit so she was familiar with the property. We had our first viewing, which resulted in an acceptable offer. FIRST VIEWING!! Alas, that chain broke down due to problems 4 or 5 down the chain nothing to do with my house of Philip Hodges, so I went back to the market and again,sold in one viewing. Alas, the chain also broke, again due to a house 3 or 4 down the chain, so again, marketed it and first viewing sold! This time, it did go through. Philip Hodges really are interested in finding the right buyers rather than just arranging loads of viewings for the sake of it and getting full asking price offers 3 times out of 3 viewings clearly isnt luck, it shows they know what they are doing and are very good at it too. Coupled with the fact Shelley and Carey are both lovely people to deal with, I couldnt have asked for any more and would suggest you dont waste time with the other agents in the area and just deal with them.
Best Estate Agent in Sunbury. The team is very helpful. You get a far more personal service than you would from a larger estate agent. Cannot recommend enough and would definitely use again. We used them both for sales and their tenant finding service.
