Had a 2 night mid week stay. Has been a long time since my last visit here, which began 30 years ago. The Hilton has been well refurbished. Rooms and bathrooms all modern and well maintained. Basic room has plenty of space. Building construction going on next door that impacts non street facing rooms until about 11pm during our stay, and from 7am in the morning.
The room had a moldy smell coming from the outdated air conditioning system. I was expecting an updated room since the lobby looked really nice, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. After I complained about the smell, we were moved to a different room. While it was better, the air conditioning system made a nonstop loud noise. On the bright side, the location is excellent—close to several restaurants and just steps away from the amazing Adelaide Central Market.
Nice stay at the Hilton Adelaide. The location, ambience and accessibility to the CBD surroundings China town is an attraction. The front desk service is a bit slow, but overall it's worth for the money spent. Has an inbuilt restaurant, offering dine-in room service, too.

I would like to share my experience during my recent stay at Hilton Adelaide, from 18th to 21st April 2025.nnUpon our arrival, we received a warm and welcoming reception from the front office team, and everything was well-organized. However, I encountered a minor issue on the 19th of April. I had requested housekeeping to arrange my room, but due to a misunderstanding regarding the door notice, the room was not attended to as requested. After a few hours, housekeeping promptly provided fresh linen, additional water bottles, and tea/coffee supplies.nnUnfortunately, the staff member who answered my call regarding this matter was not as courteous as I would have expected and did not display the level of respect that I anticipated from a service-oriented environment.nnThat said, I would like to highlight the exceptional service provided by Duty Manager Yui during the morning shift. She demonstrated remarkable customer service, excellent multitasking skills, and an outstanding level of professionalism. Her attentiveness and hospitality made a lasting positive impression on us.nnIt is with sincere gratitude that I nominate Yui for the Employee of the Month and, most deservedly, Employee of the Year 2025. The Adelaide Hilton is an emotional favourite of ours being Adelaide born and raised now living interstate. Sadly as my wife is now disabled due to a debilitating condition and wheelchair bound we assumed that the Hilton would have facilities to accommodate us. Whilst everything else about the Hilton was 5 star the accessible rooms were barely that. They were frozen in the time of having been built with the needs of the disabled in mind before circulation space and wheelchair compliance were established to today’s standards. The room was comfortable but more suited to the ambulant disabled person. The shower had hot water problems that were attended to promptly. The concierge and valet was attentive. The bar and buffet prices were priced above standards delivered. In the past we would have no hesitation about booking straight in at the Hilton but unfortunately we will not return until the improvements that have been made to the upper floors have been made to the accessible rooms and meet the present standards.
