We purchased bed frame and mattress from the Furniture department and fridge from the Electrical Department. Both delivered on time and we are satisfied with the product quality. The sales representative Abbie from furniture department is very helpful. She quickly understood our needs and found the proper products with competitive price offered. very efficient purchase experience. The staff from electric department sorry I forgot his name but he also helped a lot. Very positive and friendly. Thanks very much!
Purchased a bed set, the store recommended Roger for bedding assemble. I must say I am extremely happy with his work, he is flexible, works with care, professional, cleaned up the area and took away the boxes. I cannot be any happier! Definitely recommend
Horrible service - Purchase an LG 34’ wide screen monitor. Took it out of the box and the screen was cracked. Returned the goods to the shop within 20min of purchase. Was told by the manager that the goods would not be refunded or replaced. I was sold broken goods. They took my money and I was advised they would not assist in any way at the time. “Please be careful purchasing form this store”
Went to get warranty support for a faulty sound bar and the gentleman at the tv section said they need to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs and refused to allow me to pay more money for a better model and refused me store credit. Also refused to swap it with the same model. The unit had no power and it didn't even need an expert to test it was faulty. I also had video evidence. Rather heartbreaking and illegal. For a cheap and heavy sound bar I find it very difficult to believe the manufacturer would pay shipping back and forth and have it "repaired" most likely would be destroyed or recycled. I know retail can be a hard job but as a customer you should not feel helpless when asking for warranty support.
Horrible experience, ridiculous waiting time. You would expect a company like Harvey Norman to be better equipped with staff for holiday season, especially boxing day. Waiting for more than an hour to be attended to by tech team. Really disappointed and angry.
Visited with a friends family Thu 20/10/22 8pm. A few sales persons standing around I made eye contact with, but not approached by anyone. Local for 40+ years and working in sales myself, I expected to be greeted on entry and readily offered assistance. Was there to finalise bedroom furnishings for a new build. Bizarre & awkward store experience Left empty handed.
We purchased a new lounge set in Feb this year from this HN store and the shipping container came through from oversea and the lounge was delivered in mid May as scheduled. We discovered the headrest was badly damaged leather was wrinkled deeply after unpacking and contacted the customer service the day after delivery. Customer care service lady put us on warranty claim right away. Technician came to our place to inspect the damage a month after and confirmed that damage was caused prior to delivery and headrest wont come back to its initial condition. so then a replacement of headrest was ordered and it took 3 months to get it replaced. Instead of a brandnew lounge, we actually spent 4 months to purchase a refurbished. The damage of the lounge was existing prior to delivery and not caused by us, we asked the customer care service lady why she could not arrange a re-delivery in the first place and did not hear from her.
I bought TCL Smart glasses from Harvey Norman in early 2022. The device stopped working a few month later and so I returned it back at the shop, hoping to get a new one or at least my money returned. I had paid just under $1000 for the device. Harvey Norman Ihas spent about 5 months on trying to have the device repaired. I am very dissatisfied with the service. I will not be purchasing any more of my Electronics from Harvey Norman in Garden City. Their level of customer service is appalling. They should have refunded my money or replaced the device for me. They are unwilling to do either. Update 23/01/23 Gave Harvey Norman another call on Saturday to follow up and was given the same story I received 6 weeks ago. They are waiting for the supplier to give them permission to refund my money. Sounds very strange that I bought the TCL smart glasses from Harvey Norman - but supplier needs to tell Harvey Norman whether I should get my money back or not even though the product was faulty within warranty period. And even if that is the case, why has it taken 6 months for this permission to come forward? Where are the good old days of great customer service?
Cassidy in the smalls department was a breath of fresh air with excellent customer service and helped me out alot. Knew straight away the product I was after just arrived out back and happily brought it out for me and didn't keep me waiting long at all. Deserves a raise.
I cannot thank Mustapha E at Harvey Norman Garden City enough. He would have to be one of the best customer service people I have come across to date! He is fantastic at his job, friendly and very accommodating. I will be recommending him to everyone I know. Thank you again Mustapha.
