Good example of southern hospitality - friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant serves delicious meals made with quality ingredients. Awesome outdoor courtyard to enjoy a sunny day and cold beverage - or cosy inside with the fireplace during the colder weather. Surrounded by stunning mountainous scenery - the perfect place to stop when visiting Glenorchy.
Called in for dinner last week and ordered the Sea Food Chowder, thought it was very over priced for what we got - couldn't distinguish any seafood in there and was very disappointed. Looked at the meals coming out and they didn't look very appertising either, feel they were overpriced also. Atmosphere was great in the pub - All Blacks were playing Japan and really enjoyed the atmosphere, staff were friendly and enjoyed a drink there, but wouldn't recommend eating there again.
Loved this place. Stopped in for lunch. The pub atmosphere is great, lots to look at and just has a great feel. Food was good, drinks cold and staff lovely!!
Great location, didn't stay but dropped in for a cake and tea. The front garden is a suntrap.
What a cute pub! We were totally not expecting such a cute atmosphere with a fireplace and cozy vibe. The staff were LOVELY and honestly these were the best meals we had during our stay in NZ! We had the superfood salad and nachos and our kids loved the hotdog on a stick and cheese pizza. Hope to come back
