The Headwaters Eco Lodge is truly a once in a lifetime experience. The service is absolutely exceptional. From greeting you on arrival, making barista coffee with alternative milk, to helping book nearby activities - the team are outstanding.nnThe food was another standout. Chef DJ made the standout, incredible meals for breakfast and dinner. All praise to him for his outstanding meals and friendly attitude, happy to make anything we requested.nnThe lodge itself is very sustainable and environmentally friendly. Composting, rainwater and solar power are all key features. However it still feels luxurious.nnI was extremely impressed.
The lodge offered showers to people who had completed the GY gravel grind, and it was the best $10 I ever spent. Very clean facilities! Thanks!
The service is exceptional from the moment you arrive you understand why the reviews are so strong. Hannah is very welcoming and is a positive person. The breakfast and dinner food was a revelation Simon is an exceptional chef. This was possibly our favourite hotel in New Zealand. Everything is spot on plus Glenorchy is on your doorstep too. An excellent place.
Such an amazing set up and space. The common areas are beautifully spacious and well thought out with views down the valley, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Each lodge is unique and the staff were helpful and welcoming. Dom in the kitchen was brilliant, the 4 course dinners were some of the best we had during our time in NZ. Thanks to Hannah too for looking after us on our honeymoon. Would highly recommend staying at Headwaters.
We loved our stay at the Eco Lodge! I highly recommend and would hope to stay there again. We spent three nights in Glenorchy. The team was amazing. The cottages were beautiful and inspiring. The composting toilets so well done, the solar, rain water, etc. The breakfast and dinner were very well done! It was wonderful to be out of the city and surrounded by the mountains.
