Very warm homestead place, amazing view and helpful stuff, room is very basic for over $130 price but well maintained. However we had lots of difficulty to find drinking water. There is a kettle in communal area but can’t find water source . Taps are bore water but very salty.

Visited here on the 26th November. 16 of us. Everyone commented on the rude person responsible for counter service. Taking our order was clearly causing him annoyance. Obviously this place makes its money from tourists who pass through and wont be back anyway. I am a local and the service was a disgrace in any circumstances. Lift your game Glen Helen Homestead and teach your staff some basic manners let alone service. If the staff are that miserable its time they left or your management behavior overhauled. Truly unpleasant.

About to change ownership. Current staff very friendly, thanks Nate. Good visual area but walk along dry river bed is difficult to view the Glen Helen Gorge.

Good spot for lunch and drinks after hiking Ormiston gorge. Service was really quick with a good range of burgers and beers. Pretty cozy seating inside. Staff were really friendly.
