Story

GAIJIN’s menu is inspired by executive chef Toar Christopher, a proprietor of a modern Japanese restaurant chain in Asia. He started a career as a sushi chef by working in various Japanese kitchens in the United States, and at the same time was trained by a number of celebrity chefs, including Shigeo Yamane who first turned Christopher as a sushi chef.

GAIJIN Japanese Fusion offers a refreshing contemporary Japanese cuisine. With a sophisticated twist from a traditional Japanese sushi, your GAIJIN dining experience will make you want to come back for more. We have a variety of menu; from salad, don (rice), udon (noodle) to more than 20-sushi roll dishes including sashimi and combos. To make our menu more interesting, we review, update and change our menu every 6-8 months.

As you walk down the street it is quite easy to miss this unassuming establishment. It looks and feels more like a quiet casual place for a light meal and drinks than a fine Japanese dining experience. Don't let the looks fool you. This place is amazing, serving some of the freshest dishes I've ever seen. The chef has thrown out the rulebook on sushi and created a large variety of uncommon and somewhat unusual sushi rolls. While I guarantee that not everyone will enjoy every roll, it will not the fault of the chef! Try the "Dyamite" its out of this world. Imho the tuna bomb and Tasmanian are the absolute best out of the rolls. Fyi the rolls have amazing names and lists of ingredients not seen anywhere else! A must do twice. Once all you can eat and once ordering from the menu.

Amazing service and an unbelievably large sushi roll selection. Highly recommended if you like sushi rolls.

Tried this place a couple of years back but never reviewed here. Love the Baked Dynamite. As it name suggests, the fusion sushi explodes with flavor. The creaminess of the sauce, the spiciness of the togarashi, all go really well together. My place to go for the fusion and modern sushi rolls in a dine-in setting.
