i ordered grilled teriyaki on rice $12. chicken was juicy, tender flavour some but a bit burnt. i didn't like kimchi on the side because there was no real kimchi flavour. yuzu mayo was good but i just tasted. overall, it was a good place to get a quick tasty cheap food!

An underrated gem in Prahran market is this Japanese yakatori bar. I had the twice cooked pork belly roll with a yuzu juice to wash it down. Love love loved it! If you love pork belly then you have to try this place. Tender, juicy, sweet, flavourful pork belly. I have nothing bad to say about this place at all. Order a roll, sit on one of the stools, and enjoy the greatness that is Wasshoi.

Stools surround this popular casual Japanese kitchen in the middle of Prahran Market. You can have pork belly (sumibiyaki) or chicken either with rice, or in a crusty sandwich. The pork belly sandwich comes wrapped up like a kebab on what looks like bread specially baked for the purpose, full of braised then grilled pork in sticky Japanese barbecue sauce. It is so amazing it could be the best sandwich in Melbourne. The chicken is really good too. There is also a beef burger. To drink there are quite a number of sakes, beer, yuzu, and a beer shandy with yuzu.

Twice cooked chicken fillet roll was great. It had a touch of Bahn Mi Vietnamese style to it (chilli and the roll), and all washed down with a Kirin tap beer. Nice japanese style fast food with a twist

My favourite cheap eat place in Prahran market. I like their rice bowls. ワッショイ ヤキトリ バー プラーンマーケット内で手軽に食べたい時に利用するチキン丼ぶりやハンバーグ丼ぶりが美味しい日本食のカウンターバー。ローカルに大人気で遅い時間に行くと売り切れていることも多々あり。
