East Coast Bays Doctors Limited

The first time I went to a GP, I went to east coast bay doctors. Doctor Huang gave me some antibiotic pills for a small lump in my skin, which caused my stomach bloating, I burped a lot after that. Later I went there and told them about it, but the doctor said it was a common side effect. I started feeling my stomach was not as well as before. Now, after about two years, I feel intense stomach pain and went to a new clinic, the new family doctor told me it's because the antibiotic pills doctor Huang gave to me ruined my gastric mucosa, which should protect my stomach from being hurt by stimulative foods. I start taking some medicine to resume a healthy gastric mucosa, but the process seems slow and the stomach pain tortures me everyday. Now my stomach is so painful that I can not get asleep. So my suggestion is not going to this clinic, or your health will be ruined.

lovely doctor, but reception and nursing staff are rude, unaccommodating and unprofessional. Booking error, my appointment was on a different day, yet there was no apology at all. I was told that there is "no way" I could be seen and they completed denied that the error was theirs. In fact, there's no way I would've booked my appointment on the following week when I won't even be in Auckland. Nurse lacked empathy/respect and basically told me my problem wasn't urgent without knowing the details. There was also an inappropriate conversation about home life between nurse and receptionist in front me. I wouldn't have bothered to write this review, IF I felt I was treated with respect and dignity.

I've been with the practice also since it opened. It is very comforting to know you are in good hands. It has been a great experience.

Very friendly receptionist. They're accommodating and I didn't have to book an appointment to see a doctor :)
