Dr Simon Chen

I have been a customer of Vision Eye Institute since 2010. Just recently I was introduced to Dr Simon Chen who performed eye surgery which was successful. I must say from the beginning Dr Chen was so informative that I had no doubt as to the procedure I was about to have. Where Dr Chen excels is after my surgery, I received personalised video’s what to expect post operation and explaining all the medications and frequency of use very clearly. I’m over 50 I have never been contacted by any Dr asking for my welfare after any procedure as did Dr Chen, which was in his own time on his day off. I developed cataracts in both of my eyes. Dr. Chen is a very skilled specialist who assisted me in making the best decision for my contact lenses. Dr. Chen and his crew helped me feel more at ease throughout the procedure. Dr Chen called the next day to see how I was doing, to check on my eyes, and to see if I had any questions. I just recently re-visited Dr. Simon Chen and again he was able to efficiently & professionally treat my eye issue ,no fuss and on the spot .Thank you Dr. Chen Below is my google post from 3 years ago A Big thank you to Dr Simon Chen and Vision Eye Institute Chatswood. After my experience with another specialist that included five visits within a year ,all of witch I waited in a crowded room more than an hour past the appointment time before I was seen, then rushed through to finally only spend a few minutes with the specialist who improved the eye with medication and eventually send me away with nothing more can be done for my problematic eye sight and condition. As my quality of sight was still severely effecting me I asked around and was referred to Dr Simon Chen, he is what you expect from a health care professional, thorough, caring up to date and very efficient. After two visits at Chatswood , both on time and in a comfortable room,, Dr Chen was confident he could improve my sight with an operation. The operation went perfectly well, my problematic eye feels absolutely normal and and my eye sight is improved that much, where I don't need glasses anymore. Dr Chen seems to be surrounded by good people at this practice I strongly recommend them and can't thank Dr Simon Chen enough.

I found the team at Vision Eye Institute highly professional and caring . My problem was an emergency and everyone involved did a remarkable job of making sure I was looked after as quickly as possible, within one hour of my arrival I was in surgery. Thank you all. To make things a little better it would be good if the payment process could be put through to Medicare and the Private Health Fund by the reception area as is the case with most Medical practices

Recentlly I was treated by Dr Simon Chen for a macular hole and later a cataract procedure on my left eye. I cannot speak highly enough for their proffesionalism and follow up interest. From the reception to pre op, anesthtist and Dr Simon Chen, everyone made me feel comfortable and confident in their ability to treat my issues.
