Boat to Devonport which should departure at 5:30pm departure at 5:28:40pm (according to the time from the screen above the counter), they close gates even before and were ignoring people who call them to wait.... very rude. :-/ One good think is that girl from the counter who sold me tickets at 5:15pm was very sweet and kind. When she seen me waiting on the bench and asked me why I’m still here, she promised me that she will speak to her supervisor. 👍🏻

As an inexpensive way to see the bay, a return to Devonport at $12 is a nice way to spend an hour or two. With a little drink at the Esplanade Hotel. If you're planning on taking the sight seeing bus tour, that includes a ferry ride in the price.

Good terminal that is almost always running to schedule (unlike auckland trains/buses). Can get busy and crowded at peak times, but that pretty much means you might not get a seat while waiting.

Appalling time tables haven't changed in any meaningful way for 10 years. Shut gates on loyal passengers before departure time in spite of yawning gap between services. IF YOU THINK BUSES ARE BAD TRY THESE MUPPETS!!

I've used the Ferry Service many times and never ever had any issues or problems. Always awesome to be on the Waitemata Harbour and heading to Waiheke!! Thanks very much!! :)
