Reflecting his passion and inspiration, Executive Chef Philip Garrod will take you on a journey, with a menu of Modern Australian Cuisine that is simple, elegant, and reflects the seasonality and locality of our produce. From an impressive start diving straight into Qantas Flight Catering at the age of 15 and then onto renowned 5 star hotels at 20, Philip’s culinary ventures span extensively to include both national and global venues. Now with Mantra Bell City, his incredible skills and know-how are a treat for all who visit. Serving breakfast, lunch & dinner chill boasts x2 private dining spaces and a bar that offers local Northern Suburb brews and light meals for the fussiest of grazers. The quality of food is good and the presentation is nice. We tried salmon, lamb belly and beef brisket; salmon cooked that well and it tasted like butter, my favourite dish! All the dish came with perfectly matched sides and the flavour were well balanced. Their wine selection was also surprisingly amazing, so was the lovely service. We will definitely come back! One of the best restaurants in Preston!

The food and the vibe was really nice. Critic would be the garnish on every single plate that comes out been exactly the same. May be a bit more variation to the sides and the garnish would be nicer. Thanks

The restaurant was well presented, just like the food. The gnocchi tasted good, and was reasonable priced. It wasn't busy when we went for lunch, the food didn't take long to come out. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here and eat, but if you're staying at the hotel, it's worth popping in.

I was here for lunch and we pre-ordered as we had been advised service was slow and we had limited time. Meal still took over 30 minutes to be served. Gnocchi was very nice but people thought salmon portions were a bit small. Setting is modern and dress casual. A large bar sits centrally. Parking is $5 per hour (used to be first 3 hours free) but there is a good amount available. The restaurant is located on the corner of Bell City and attracts a varied clientele.
