Tallboy & Moose in Preston is such a fun and welcoming brewpub, one of the best spots around for good food, great beer and a relaxed midweek treat.nnI went for Wednesday $24 steak night and it was fantastic. The steak was juicy and satisfying with chips and salad, making it excellent value for a hearty meal on the cheap midweek menu. I also had the virgin Bloody Mary for $10.nnThe venue has plenty of seating inside and out so it never feels cramped, and the vibe is warm and laid back with good music, friendly staff and plenty of space to chill with mates.nnOrdering through the QR code made everything super easy, quick, smooth and fuss free, which was perfect for a relaxed dinner without waiting on a server.nnThere’s parking around the corner, which made getting there stress free. Sitting down with a great steak and a cold drink in hand in such a welcoming space was exactly the kind of local pub experience I love.
Saturday 18.4.2026.nnTable 30, outside. Approx 1:30pm.nnTallboy and moose has a fantastic team of staff, offering warm and attentive service. To the person that initially took my order for poutine, admist my confusion, I'd like to say, it was very well taken. Polite, calm, informative and professional.nnThis day there was a loud and busy private event on in the back half of the venue. Though it was noisy, everything was explained well, upon ordering. It was my first visit here after several years, and I was looked after well.nnA great venue with staff that are on the ball.nPoutine, ginger beer and wings, an order slightly too much for the one sitting, but nevertheless a worthy one.nnKeep up the great work everyone. I need to return for different beers. But to be honest the warmth of the staff proves to be the main draw card.
been here twice and have loved it. great beers on offer, including ciders, ginger beer and mead. the bartender who served us last night was really nice - gave us tasters and we both ended up getting a pot of mead, and he took a photo of us both for us when we were taking a selfie. also the photo booth is a really cute touch but the flash is too bright!. a little noisy but still okay to hear each other
Came for the curry night on recommendation from a friend. Incredible food for the price, full of flavour and super legit.nnThe beers are mega on point. Someone in that there brewery knows what they're doing I reckon. Sour tea beer sounds nuts but it blew my tiny mind. Mates rates pale is my new go-to. Pint of that after a shift down the orphanage is just the ticket.
Steak was well-charred! It went really well with the red wine sauce. The buffalo wings were cooked nice and crunchy, sauce was spicy & flavourful too. Staffs were kind and considerate without being in your face. They attended to our needs to shift the fan blowing at us, and checking our order when the wait was a lil' long. Great vibes, yummy food. The place was comfortable and accommodating for my friend and I to have a good long conversation. Worth the trip!
