Castaways Resort & Spa is your absolute beachfront escape. Bound by the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage listed Wet Tropics Rainforest, Castaways Resort & Spa is the perfect destination for couples, families with children and groups traveling together. Set on 14km of gorgeous sandy beach directly in front of the resort with 20 tropical islands and the Great Barrier Reef just off the rainforest edged shoreline. Beautiful location with a great grass area onto the beach front with lots of umbrella seating. Great for kids.nStaff were excellent and meals really good.nJust a stroll into town.nWill be telling our friends to book here.
Welcomed beautifully! Everything so clean, tidy and comfortable, easy, great laundry facilities. Wonderful meal at the bar and restaurant. And a visit to the day spa for the most incredible massage topped off an amazing stay thank-you soooo much
Stayed in September 2025 but when we got there the room we had originally booked was not available as it was under construction. We were not made aware of this until we got there. The next best room was ok but could tell it also needed some TLC as the place is going under renovations since bought by Club Wyndham. Overall a disappointing experience as we expected something a bit more luxurious for our stay
We stayed at Mission Beach for 5 nights and ate here every night and for breakfast one morning. After the first night, we realised there was no desire to seek out somewhere else - the delicious meals, view, and service were all perfect!
We are locals and love dining at Castaways, we always enjoy our meal and Dennis makes us feel so welcome, the view is the best at Mission Beach
