The rooms have a natural tropical atmosphere. It is misleading to say it is dated. The resort is not a not a bland impersonal international hotel that could be anywhere in the world. The cabins are perfectly suited to their natural surroundings. The bathrooms are luxurious - maybe not the latest in bathrooms but contemporary bathrooms will date far more quickly.  The only dated feature was the corner units which used to house video/ TV/ entertainment equipment - they are made of real wood and look custom made so am sure they have / will work on a new use for them. Furnishings are simple and timeless suited to the tropics- And proper louvre windows (timber) perfect for tropical climate. You are connected to the wildlife and to nature- and isn't that want you want in a Nature Tourism destination.

Very good place for families with babies. We stayed there with our 3 months old. It was perfect, it's not far from town for shopping and other places around #Cairns to visit.

Was okay. Steak at Restaurant was great. Couldn't relax due to knowledge of snakes around resort grounds. Some guests even pointed out a snake sighting close to my room/cabin from the previous night, thank God I didn't see. Good place for people who love critters. Some staff understanding other's perhaps didn't realise my fear wasn't a joke. Beach is nice

Neat concept. My wife and I stayed here and we really enjoyed the private bungalow with a rainforest feel. However, there were a few glaring issues; the bed was a little uncomfortable and very low. Also, the hot water runs out very quickly. I had to hustle to finish my shower before the hot water ran out. Finally, the TV is small and dated. The water and the bed are very basic things, and although I really want to rate the resort higher, they really should fix these issues. Food is average. The massage is amazing.

Beautiful location and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the place was understaffed and the layout of the service was unorganised. The wait for cocktails was 45 minutes, but it isn’t table service so you have to stand by the bar for almost an hour waiting for your drinks. They need extra staff working in the bar so the customers don’t have to wait so long, whilst missing out on spending time with family and friends. A very nice venue, recommend just drinking beer as you don’t have to wait so long.
