I exclusively use these guys to rent cars now... Get to chops ur car and both times I've rented with this company, there have been no issues. Very cheap rental rates with reasonable insurance rates as well

Such a bad idea and experience, never to do again or advise anyone. Carhood claims so many big things as if you are going to make a fortune out of it by getting 25%. My newer and good make and model car got me $104 after being actually rented out for 19 out of 30 days, driven for ~4,000 KM and car damages. Out of a technicality they didn't pay me the minimum amount. I feel so much out of pocket and all they tell you is this is how it is and read the terms and conditions. People please factor in all your true costs and what you will earn. Pls don't do it!!

It was convenient and the process of dropping of my car and picking it up was easy. The staff were pleasant. It was nice to come back to a clean-ish car. There were sticky stains on the upholstery and interior door handles, and the windscreen was not quite clean. Problems began after I picked up my car. I was supposed to report issues within 24 hours of pick up, and I understood why. But after an overnight flight with no sleep, I was in no condition to check for damages. The car felt different, and I did notice I was missing a clip on an internal panel. However, I didn't report it until the following week. Upon closer inspection, my car was scratched quite badly, but I knew there was no point reporting it as it was past the 24 hour reporting period. It was nice to think that my car could generate some income while I was away, and I also got free airport parking, but I will be out of pocket more due to the panel damages. It is not likely I will ever use this service again.

Great idea for renting car convenient and easy . Service & execution is terrible

#Well car is a mess from outside & inside . Apart from a dent on the driver side which was not there when I left the car. I took the video before leaving it. Claim dept says it was prior but no point arguing wasting your time learnt a lesson I wonder since it was not rented so what actually happened,  Probably staff drives around.No cleaning or wash has been done for a car I understand it did not go for rent but Car hood brands itself to provide Fresh & Clean car on return.

#Uber not provided from the airport after landing at 9 & has to be arranged leading to another hassle of bill (reason given I opt out that is a lie ).

Now refund will be 30 days via paypal.
 
#Call centre has a different tone when you are leaving the car for rent & harsher (DIY) tone once you land.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I have never been treated so rudely. Our booking was cancelled 2 hrs before arriving at Melbourne airport. I could sit here and describe how I was treated by "Dorothy" but I have wasted enough time on this. If you guys are looking for reliability do not use this company. Otherwise you may be stranded late at night resulting in high cab fees. No sorry, no nothing. Still no refund.
