I just had the best experience at Camms Rd Fish & Chips! The owner is so bubbly and cheerful—it really sets the vibe.nnI’ve heard so many people rave about this place, and I’ve always wanted to try it. Now that I have, I totally get why everyone loves it! The food was incredibly tasty; chips was soo crispy too! And oh my goodness the potato cakes are a must have!! The drink selection is wild; I was totally lost with all the options! And thanks to my bro Tommy, the owner hooked us up with some extra goodies, which was such a nice touch. nnAlso, I have to say, the way the owner decorates the fish and chip packs is super cute and quirky! It really makes the experience special.nnSince it was our first visit, we were seriously impressed and can’t wait to come back. This place is definitely our new favourite fish and chip joint.
Wanted to check out the place since we were in the area, was shocked by how friendly and nice the atmosphere was.nThe service was great, they have a great sense of humour, even had a cute little picture drawn on the paper for our order.nThe potato cakes were awesome, onion rings were crumbed rather than battered which I almost preferred too. The size of the food next to what you pay is good too.nHighly recommend!
On Friday, we visited Camms rd fish and chips. We were greeted with the most friendly smile by the owner of Phil.nPhil took our order of 1 of each potato cake. He explained that the special ones were huge and the meal size, not snack size.nThey didn't take too long, as we picked a reasonably quiet time during the day. Maybe 15 minutes wait.nPhil had a minute to draw this fine little detail on our order - such a personalised touch!nThe crispness - oh my word. We started with the small ones and then the big ones. Such nice crispy shells with fluffiness inside. Pizza, crumbed, crispy crunchy, cheese and bacon, cheese and garlic, salt & vinegar, vinegar & normal. Definitely enough for 3!nThe normal potato cakes were absolutely perfect, crispy, and fluffy - I'm still thinking about them!!nPhil asked for our feedback, which we provided respectfully and constructively.nSome were amazing, and some needed some tweaking. I think it's great he wants to bring twists on the old potato cake to the market.nWill be back, Thank you!!
Wow is all I can.say! Drove 40 minutes from cockatoo to check out this fish n chips shop as I'm a member of the Facebook page lovers of potato cakes and everyone on the page says how good this place is soo I went and tried for myself.... well people are exactly right!nThis place is amazing the owner is SUPER friendly and very chatty and from the second I walked into the store he was extremely welcoming.nHe was telling me all about his 15 flavoured potato cakes and how he started his business. He was sooo friendly definitely put a smile on my face with how nice he was and soooooooo welcoming, we all need a fish n chip shop exactly like this in our own home towns. It's not ur normal boring fish n chip shop his array of american lolly and drinks is amazing and his potato cakes were sooo yummy.nI explained I was there to try his famous potato cakes and I told him were I was from.... he gave me soo many extra potato cakes for me to try as I came all this way to try them and wow they were soooo good.nMy favourite was the 24 hr salt and vinegar 2.0 and the cheese and Bacon 2.0 hubby liked the seasoned potato cake and the pizza one. ALL OF THEM we got were super yummy and crunchy and cooked to perfection. They were a little oily but the oil even tasted good as it was very fresh and clean and well i couldn't be happier..nThey even put a cute message on your paper on your order BEARY HAPPY nIF you haven't been to this place GOOOOO YOU WONT REGRET IT. I can guarantee that you will leave with a smile on your face and thinking we all need a fish n chip shop like that in our town!nThankyou for making my 40 min drive amazing and couldn't be happier.nYour hospitality and customer service is 10/10. nThankyou.
From the service to the food this place is absolutely amazing! Haven’t been here in 20 years but felt like a regular from the warm welcome i received. Potato cakes were AMAZING! Crunchy and fluffy inside. Just like the chips. Dim sims cooked to a perfect golden brown!nnIf you live locally you gotta try this place! It’s 90’s fish and chips
